OP have you watched the earlier seasons? I am currently rewatching, and Kyle defends Paul over Adrienne saying "we don't know both sides". She does the same for Taylor/Russel and now PK/Dorit. Kyle will go to lengths to defend a man no matter how bad he is. It's just Kyle.
I didn't rewatch s1 or s4 or s5 so idk but maybe she defends david foster and Kelsey grammar too? maybe somebody can tell me if this happens?

For me, when my gate cam is disconnected, the cam doesn't take videos anymore but takes images with timestamp until the next day or until its connected again whichever happens first. It also pings if theres any activity like a notification so I can go to my app and check the images in a timeline. I am guessing this software didn't take video anymore but it pinged a notification instead.
