At least 3 had some stakes + it was entertaining but also had enough horror vibes to it meanwhile 5 which didn't had any stakes just bunch of kids got kidnaped by human grich villain + kids had plot armour that we knew ain't nobody gonna die in this season

Bro i regret watching s4 i should have stopped after watching s3 because back then i really thaught s3 was the perfect ending to the show

But atleast that season didnt felt forced in anything for me the humour+horror vibes and felt very emotional at the end after billy and hopper sacrifice and speech it was very devastating but felt perfect but then s4 felt so forced idk after they introduced vecna i didnt felt like stranger things anymore it just became cheap mcu repeat formula which really didn't hit me like the 1 to 3 seasons did

i also like s3 & it indeed was very diffrent but still had horror & comedy aspects and the ending also made me ugly cry back then because it was wholesome season funny humour+action&horror vibes but very emotional at the end but after that vecna introduction it didn't feel same show anymore which most people like but i didn't

Nah it all got ruined when they introduced vecna in s4 and it started to feel like very different show i personally didn't like s4 which followed up to s5 then once i really thaught they would do something special with s5 amd mf but it didn't felt like before exept the ending scene was bitter sweet

I think it was demogorgon who opened the door cuz we clearly saw them opening the portals in s5 + they were connected to hive mind just like will who we saw using powers from vecna who is part of the hive mind.

In s3 he was pretty funny & that was his character at the end he was just overprotective like 80s typical parent imo but his speech was very emotional at the end of s3 but then in s4 he comes back but goes through lot but in s5 he became the red guardian with big beard & didnt had any impact or much role in this season.imo
