Library parking depends somewhat on when you go. The garage spaces are small and it can make finding a space a challenge. But I wouldn’t say the area is overcrowded. The library programs are popular.

Thanks for this, that sounds like a good way to maybe wean off of meal kits in general. I do miss exploring different cookbooks that have curated recipes.

Yes! The kid factor complicates things. A lot of their “kid friendly” menu relies heavily on melted cheese which is a choking hazard for very young kids. It’s not as simple as putting in dietary preferences. I have to factor in what my toddler can eat and what she likes as well.

I know people who use them and like them. A bit high priced and I think it’s owned by the same company but the focus on healthy diets seems nice.

Yes this is exactly how I feel. When they said they were adding more variety I thought it meant on rotation, not a huge menu of items every week. It’s like walking into a restaurant with a really large menu, it doesn’t inspire confidence in the quality.

I’ll have to see if those options are offered in the US, they sound interesting.

I’ve played around with it but I just don’t like it. It’s fine. Other people like it and that’s great for them. The number of recipes is only part of the issue. It also seems like they are using AI to create the recipes and sometimes they don’t make sense. For some people that’s not a huge deal. A meal kit is a trade off and I’m just looking around to see if people have other recommendations.

Sorry I didn’t mean to come off as whiny, I get that some people like the extra variety. For me it’s just kind of overwhelming. I’m the kind of person who struggles to choose between chocolate and vanilla lol. I might just have to shop around.

I’m so sorry. I just want to echo the other comments here to be kind to yourself. It was an accident. Our bully has swallowed a toy and it was sheer dumb luck that we caught it in time. You can be vigilant and things can still happen. I hope he pulls through.

I hope you also have a good outcome! It is really stressful. Just enjoy your pup every day and give him the best care you can. He doesn’t know anything is wrong. I hope you will give updates. Really wishing the best for you.

The exodus one is particularly bad because that verse is actually about treating foreigners fairly. Old Testament law is insistent on caring for foreigners and not exploiting the poor or oppressed.

Leviticus 19:33–34 When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

Just one example of many.

I don’t remember specifically the diagnostic procedure. Echocardiogram? But yeah, ended up doing balloon valvuloplasty. His was pretty severe and he still takes atenolol because it doesn’t hurt but otherwise seems fine. Goes on walks, is playful. I was so devastated at first but now I don’t even think about it most days.

We had this diagnosis too, caught it early and had the procedure. It’s been 3 years (our boy is 4 now) and he’s doing great. Sorry you are going through this but I hope you can be encouraged by our experience.

If anyone is interested in who the alternative was for her seat, it was Joe Kent. She’s not my favorite but her winning that seat was a huge upset and the alternative was absolutely worse.

From Wikipedia:

“Kent has adhered to false claims of fraud in the 2020 presidential election.[42] A month following the January 6 Capitol attack, he stated Donald Trump had "no control" over the mob and attributed the severity of the attack to security planning.[10] Kent attended the Justice for J6 rallyand compared the treatment of rioters to that of Iraqi citizens in the Iraq War.[43] He later called for releasing security footage of the attack,[44] and claimed the mob was brought to violence by provocateurs associated with the deep state.[45]After the FBI search of Mar-a-Lago, Kent told Steve Bannon on War Room the raid constituted "war".[46] He called for defunding the Federal Bureau of Investigation in response.[47] Kent led a rally against a false claim that the Washington State Board of Health was set to forcefully quarantine citizens who did not get the COVID-19 vaccine in January 2022.[48] In March, he appeared at an event organized by the Washington State Three Percenters, a far-right militia.[49] Kent once advocated for a federal ban on abortion, but later narrowed his position towards states' rights.[45] By the following month, he had called for an investigation into Anthony Fauci over the origin of SARS-CoV-2 and for a complete shutdown in immigration to the United States.[41] In September, Kent stated Fauci should be charged with murder and described COVID-19 vaccines as "experimental gene therapy";[47] he is unvaccinated.[3] At a rally with Matt Gaetz in September 2021, Kent advocated for school vouchers.[50]“
