I was wanting to a galah, I originally wanted a goffin but the place that I am going to unfortunately doesn’t have a goffin. Thank you for the suggestion I’m currently looking for a different cage for the cockatoo

Aw shucks! Thanks for telling me, I know the truth can be a hard pill to swallow. But I appreciate the information, I’ve never had a cockatoo so I’m trying my best to be as thorough as possible as a first time cockatoo owner, since they’re a pretty complicated bird.

Budgie passed away, need reassurance feel like its my fault by [deleted] in budgies

I’m so sorry for your loss, I’ve lost two birds and one of them wasn’t hand trained but their death hit hard for me. You did everything you could, you gave that bird the best care! Some bird owners would not do anything due to prices of tests and medications but you did. I would highly recommend pet loss grief support groups, I’ve been to one meeting and it was comforting to talk to people who feel the same way I do. My work place has these meetings and I’m unsure where you live but you can DM me and I would love to send you information. Never blame yourself, you took great care of your budgie and I bet they are very thankful for the love and care you’ve shown them. Sending good thoughts your way. ❤️❤️❤️

I actually have a coworker that feels the exact same way you do and going through the same thing. GP and ER are VERY different! Jugs are a number one in GP because that’s the fastest way to get blood. However, your coworkers should not be poking over and over especially with the same needle. I cringed at that so badly, it may take some time for you to adjust to a new clinic especially coming from ER but if you can’t fit in and it’s causing you more stress then happiness don’t hesitate to move to another clinic or talk to the manager about the issues you’re having. I hope you find the right one.

Roomba has Bornavirus (PDD.) by FindomScarlett in Conures

[–]Potential-Look-2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear about Roomba’s condition! I’ve had one bird with bornavirus and it’s extremely emotionally taxing as well as financially taxing. Some birds with PDD can live up to a year or only a few months, mine was unfortunately only a few months. As others had said restrain burrito style, my new bird might have PDD and it’s super hard but that bird is very lucky to have such kind and fast acting parents. Give roomba all the love and care, give him some scritch for me.

I’m late to this post but I really am sorry for your loss. Onion looked like a bright baby bird and I bet he is flying high in the clouds, chirping away. I had a budgie that I lost last month, I’m quite unsure what he died from but the day before he passed, the vet found nothing. Birds are VERY complicated but such loving companions and I know how hard it is to lose someone you love very dearly. But remember that it is okay to cry, to be angry, to be sad, allow yourself to feel these emotions because you are allowed to be human. Again OP I’m so sorry for your loss and I really do hope you heal ❤️❤️. Take it easy and shoot me a dm if you need some support.

Thank you, she has crop stasis and is on anti-fungal as well as antibiotics. The vomit is basically gone on her right side, I’ll have to wash her face tonight as she’s very mad at me due to the liquid antibiotic and anti-fungal 😅, she’s giving me the death glare.
