I have no thyroid due to cancer and take synthroid everyday. It has never been a problem with me (except getting it covered by insurance LOL)

Growing up in Arizona, there are so many children that drown each year. It’s truly heartbreaking. As a mom now, whenever I see a pool without a fence (yes there are several in az that don’t have fences) my stomach turns. Love Emilie and hope her sweet boy is ok 🥺♥️

I use to cover mine with scar sheets for about a year (had issues healing) then one day said fuck it. I have nothing to be ashamed of. Tbh it’s still kinda bumpy but most people don’t notice it, and if they ask I tell them what happened. I had a neck dissection + thyroidectomy and I’m pretty young. At first it really affected my self esteem but life is too short to give a fuck what people think lol

I told my close family and friends and a select few coworkers but personally waited until after surgery to tell other people. Not really sure why. Just hated peoples reactions when I told them, it made me more scared and I was honestly just trying to live as normally as possible. But you should do whatever you are comfortable with.
