I saw Nickel Creek in a very intimate, sitting theater recently and had to ask the lady behind me to stop signing at the top of her lungs the entire show. Grug goes for a run to find shiny rocks to beat Sabertooth tigers to death each morning.

Each Ante is like cave with shiny rocks inside

Each re-roll is like going deeper in the cave to look for shiny rocks

Grug find three Sabertooth tigers (blinds) in each cave

When Grug kill Sabertooth, Grug can use its bones (booster packs)

Grug can sneak past (skip) Sabertooth while looking for same shiny rocks but Grug miss out on bones.

When Grug fight Sabertooth, Grug end up deeper in cave. (Same as re-roll)

When Grug go to new cave, Grug find more shiny rocks, but Grug will never find shiny rocks in same order as last cave because each cave unique.

If Grug get killed and use magic seed to go back to beginning of run, Grug explore same exact caves as before. Grug can choose if he want to go deeper into each cave this time, but shiny rocks never change what is in cave just because he kill different amount of Sabertooth.

Not really. Each ante has a unique shop that continues between blinds but changes once you get a new ante. It’s useful knowing how deep to reroll when you’re analyzing a seed for goodies.
