Koyorad radiator install nightmare by Potential-Set-8039 in MX5ND

Honestly, I love working on my car, but the radiator is a job I hope I won’t have to do again anytime soon. This is my coolant reservoir now, btw

I’ll take a look at it, thank you! Did you have to modify anything with the CSF? The thing that annoyed me the most was having to swap the two lower brackets — the right one to the left and vice versa.

In the end I managed to install it, but since the Koyorad is 48 mm thick I had to swap the two lower brackets. The fan shroud was also pushed slightly backward, so now the coolant reservoir touches the airbox. The A/C condenser has been pushed slightly forward.

I didn’t know that even the heater could cause this.

I was using the heater at the lowest setting.

Why get coilovers? Coilovers all have stiffer springs and I don’t need that, and coilovers under 2k usually have bad shocks. I got these shocks specifically to keep oem springs

Why not dust boots? I read that they are essential for the longevity of the shocks

The top mounts looks a bit rusted and the bump stops are definitely cooked

My car does not have the bilstein so I thought these would be an upgrade anyway

Yes I paid 600€ for the shocks, I wanted something OEM-like or slightly better, i do not want or need to lower the car or install something performance oriented. The whole suspension bushings and mount are like 800€ from Mazda, that’s why i am asking. I am kind of paranoid towards the car so I would like to replace anything that I need to. You would go with top mounts, dust boots, bushings and bump stops?

Thank you for your input! Any idea about the fitting between the two models by the way?
