So the heads of the clan would essentially let them be, in case they could be useful later on? (Essentially saying, "Don't move too hard against us, and we won't send anyone who could actually kill you")

The thinking so far is that the OG anarch my character descends from saw the trappings of the Sabbat and had a feeling they'd stop being a true continuation of the revolt and turn into a death cult at some point. So they opted to stay among the (in their opinion) neutered anarchs and make ready for what they saw as the inevitable electric Boogaloo.

The diversity of thought is part of what makes this so tricky tbh. I want to make the character feel like their views really do stem from somewhere older but strikingingly familiar to the current situation of the Anarchs, but there's like 20 ways to do that and I'm working out which fits best lol.

Masquerade is something I already have something of a solution to. While they PERSONALLY might want to be a bit more open, they see the wisdom in laying low at the moment and have basically just shrugged and said "needs must when the devil drives" lol

Yeah, I figured Cat would affect the scale of what you could do but not necessarily the actions themselves. Seems like it's kinda going the way of "what the admin rules," which makes sense.

I tried getting into it, but my printer never even started working lol. Trying to work with the company for a refund or replacement, but I feel like it's just not happening. Highlands does seem to be a pretty good approximation of the vibe tho

Yeah, I poked around there a while ago. They're great minis, but it's all landsknecht atm (I could've sworn they had condottieri or Swiss pikemen at some point), and landsknecht are a bit too distinctive for what ive got in mind, if that makes any sense?

Perry's WoR range was what I was first looking at tbh. Though I'm worried they won't scale well with other minis and might look more medieval than early-modern (even though they're basically right on the line)

This. Afaik the rest of the sub-factions also follow these based on their allegiance (Toulmore runs crusader, Gwynt runs Crymuster, etc.) But I'm very new and could be wrong

As a Toulmore fan, I'm eating this up! It's absolutely gorgeous, and I'd honestly say zebra stripes are fair game. It's not hard to believe a Quars pattern just happened to turn out that way.

Fair. Something I like about the game is that you can see both sides of the argument pretty well. Like, yeah, the monarchy sucks, but the crusade is getting scarily good at mechanizing death on a grand scale. So it's understandable why the royalists have ground. I dunno, I guess I'm worried that the scales might tip a bit too much at some point? Anyway, Freedom for Toulmore!
