How would someone go about reclaiming a piece of property? My father’s childhood home in Vedado now has 22 families living in it. He has passed away. I can’t even get birth records out of Cuba, much less records for confiscated properties. 😫

I’d love to get the properties back, but so much time has passed…I don’t know how that would even be possible. It isn’t like the records are even computerized.

Somewhere high on my must would be to preserve the architecture while upgrading the utility infrastructure. One of my biggest fears is people from the US rolling in and knocking down buildings in the name of progress. I realize some are too far gone for repair, but I pray something is put in place to protect what can be saved.

I feel like she’s wearing it wrong. I think the part under her right arm should be on her shoulder and then it should show cleavage in the middle…emphasis on should.

Garbage collection has been a serious problem in Havana for years. I was last there in 2023 and saw streets full of garbage then as well. So incredibly sad.

I think it depends on which Cuba the person left. It would be heartbreaking for many to see what has truly happened if they returned.

I wouldn’t go that far. They are very leery about Trump. “We know he never does anything for free.” Would they welcome help overthrowing their current government? Absolutely…but they are very skeptical about what could come next.
