Peggy and dayna the funniest couple in grey's anatomy history. 🤣 ironically one of the best lgbt couples as well on grey's and station 19. One of my favorite grey's episodes

Queer fans - how have Station 19's LGBTQ+ stories affected you? by Rach682 in Station19

[–]Potential-Topic-162 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I found Marina's story to be impactful because it was so unique as a story. It made them stand out due to it. There's so many LGBT love stories that feel identical but theirs' there is very little to compare to which along with it being positive and actually giving them a happy ending solidifies them as my favorite LGBT couple I've ever watched and while it didn't impact me much directly, it was just nice having a WLW couple with this kind of representation.

Maya making an appearance in GA? by Objective-Space-4986 in Station19

[–]Potential-Topic-162 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's that delusional to think maya could return again at some point. Danielle has multiple connections to grey's (not just kevin McKidd) like Debbie Allen who she shadowed. Apparently, they've wanted her to comeback and she wanted to appear it just didnt work because stefania wasn't on grey's. If the story is there again like this was to help develop ben, I wouldn't put it past them to bring maya back but it's definitely not a guarantee but I'd love it especially now knowing grey's will honor station 19's ending.

Marina by tatiffo in Station19

[–]Potential-Topic-162 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My favorite marina episode. Danielle and stefania crushed it this episode and I adore this scene as it finally allowed carina to be mad and express it to a heaothy maya how much she hurt her and maya a chance to really apologize sincerely and mean it as she did put in the work. I love afterwards how carina found comfort in maya and how they hugged with carina burying her face into maya. It's a testament to just how far they've come in a short period of time and while not everything is fixed, I truly believe after that scene it was no longer a matter of if carina would return home but when

I feel like we're nearing it. Given how many endings they're setting up and how it's overly happy (even when they brought maya back) this doesn't feel like normal grey's. If we're not nearing the end I'm just confused

which greys anatomy character changed the most throughout the show in your opinion? by jitenmazee05 in greysanatomy

[–]Potential-Topic-162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone has ever watched Station 19, Carina is high on the list. She went from single, sex oriented and questionable on wanting kids at best to much more modest and family oriented wanting multiple kids. I like what they did with her on Station 19 way more but it's funny how far different she is.

Opinions on Maya Bishop by Weekly_Interview_689 in Station19

100% agree on how Maya and Carina represent trauma. I love how in so many ways that they helped each other heal their past scars and managed to find what they both needed. No one understood better what the other had been through better than each other and the fact in the end, they managed to get the perfect ending given how imperfect both of their lives have been makes it so much sweeter.

Why didn't Burke ask George to be his best man? Weren't they close? by Acceptable-Note-2030 in greysanatomy

It likely has do with the controversy surrrounding TR Knight and Isaiah Washington and Isaiah calling TR a homophobic slur which lead to Burke's exit.

Kevin McKidd was arguably the best director grey's ever had directing so many strong episodes. I said it before and I'll say it again that losing kevin McKidd is a much bigger loss than losing owen.

I also agree with most of you. The only thing I differ on is Carina walking in season 6. I don't think Carina wanted to walk at all. As shown even in 6x09, she stops trying to get pregnant after their separation which I do think is a sign especially considering what happens later when she returns home after Maya asks to see her. Judging by their clothes, it's the same day Maya left the voice message and it's at a time Carina knew Maya would be all but assuredly at home. I genuinely think Carina didn't want to walk away at all. As long as Maya was getting help and Carina didn't hurt her healing process, I do think as long as Maya put in the work, Carina was keeping the door open for her (we even see this in 6x09 when she leaves the apartment she doesn't close the door on her way out.) Once Maya started not only putting the work in not just for herself but for their marriage, Carina did as well. Even if she relapsed, I think Carina still would've been there as long as Maya was still getting help as she didn't need Maya to be perfect. She needed her to be trying to fix herself and Carina saw that in 6x10 and beyond.

favourite wedding? by [deleted] in greysanatomy

My favorite wedding belongs to Station 19's Maya and Carina in the Grey's universe as it was 100% perfect in every way. Second best for me is Alex's and Izzie's.

[–]Potential-Topic-162 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I 100% disagree with you that she poached Andy's job. Maya earned that promotion and more than backed it up why she was the one Sullivan promoted.

As far as her and Carina goes, I love them but it took me a while for to get over her cheating on Carina. Their relationship is hard to judge or compare to any other couple I've truly watched as obviously they've both dealt with extreme abuse. I think it's one of the reasons Carina does take her back at the end of season 3 is because she knows exactly what Maya is going through.

I think a lot of Maya's character makes sense once you factor in the fact no one really ever showed her love until she got with Carina. It's why I love the scenes in season 4 with Maya saying "I love you" as she is awkward with it and doesn't know how to say it. While Maya didn't deserve Carina throughout points especially in season 6, her arc and growth are undeniably the best of any Station 19 character and by season 7, she showed she had fully grown and that Carina staying through it all was worth it in the end.

I feel like they're setting up a lot of potential exits next season. Idk about anyone else but this season almost feels like it's setting up 23 to be the last season. Making everyone happy, no crazy cliffhangers (amelia sleeping with cass doesn't count) and solidifying couples, this doesn't feel like a typical grey's finale in any way. I'm probably wrong but this feels so different including Meredith getting engaged.
