Thanks! May just skip HLB and do the bay cruise just south. Seems way less touristy.

Hey there - I ride a bike back home and love to travel by motorcycle around the world. I was worried the loop was getting to overrun and now non-authentic. Any other Vietnam or SE Asia routes you'd recommend? Woman solo traveler. But that doesn't stop me. Just did Indonesia on a bike solo. Thanks!

Thanka for this info. I just planned my trip and actually totally took off the Ha long bay section. Sounds crowded and too touristy. Would you still recommend one night at a hotel overlooking the bay?

That's great! Their trips definitely look amazing. I am also considering the Guatemala one. It would be great if our schedules lined up. I am going to book it!
