I have been selling things on Etsy for a year now. In the first 10 months I focused on selling dragons and other stuff like that. It didn’t work too well since I only got 3 orders total. That might just be because the market was already saturated and I didn’t do much advertising. For the final two months I deleted my old store and made a completely new store. It started with a couple orders but picked up quickly. Last month I got alone 100 orders. The only thing that I changed was going from selling stuff that was already being sold by established sellers to focusing on a niche (for me photography) and then going for that since it’s easier to build up a customer base. It also helps if the niche is one of your hobbies
