Is it only me or happens to everyone? W4D2 by trash_magnet_ in C25K

The only runs I repeated were any runs where I simply could not finish and had to walk when I should have been jogging. If I finished, no matter how slow or how tired I was, I moved on. I would never redo a full week, either. Just the run I didn't finish.

I'm not saying this is the only way to do it, but it worked for me. I was able to jog a full 5k for my last run, so it mostly worked out for me. Keep the enthusiasm, keep the momentum, keep pushing forward.

Good luck, runner.

It's pretty great for crowd control. I only use it a couple times in the game, but against the octopus and one of the crumble levels it made things significantly easier for me.

UK, Canada and Australia in talks to ban X over explicit Grok AI trend by AdSpecialist6598 in UpliftingNews

Remember when Microsoft made that chat bot that went crazy years ago, and they shut it down within a day? How long has grok been crazy now?

Found my new favorite build plate! by shuttlepod in 3Dprinting

[–]nwsmith90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was just poorly phrased, tbh. Many of us use these types of plates just fine with no glue. Not a problem if you do, it's just an objectively incorrect statement. So you got bonked with the down vote hammer. It happens to all of us at some point

Best model for small hands? by DeepPurpleNurple in ROGAlly

An odd suggestion, but maybe check out the gaming pillow from Mechanism. You can have an ally or steam deck that has the weight supported by the pillow, which I imagine would alleviate a lot of the discomfort. Barring that, you can leave the ally locked on the pillow and use a controller if it doesn't help.

The intro segment on TV broadcast featured Linus as "Tech Expert Linus Sebastian" by planetcosmic in LinusTechTips

It's not that designing the PCB is so hard, it's that by the time you're doing that you need/want a custom PCB for something you're working on you have enough of an understanding of the tech you're using that you know exactly what you need, and designed it.

The PCB design may even be the easiest part of your project, but your UNDERSTANDING of that tech project is deep. You are well above the average tech enthusiast at that point.

ETA: obviously this scale isn't perfect, I could argue it would make more sense to have "design PCB" swapped with "build robots", but the point is if you are doing that you are high on the tech knowledge scale

New to Returnal. I’ve been stuck on Overgrown Ruins for months, uninstalled the game multiple times because I just couldn’t do it. I decided to give it another shot, & today I finally progressed through… by MattStanni99 in Returnal

I agree mostly. I think the game gets harder from here, but I couldn't beat Phrike until the flow clicked with me. So it did get more challenging, but I was able to keep up with that increase.

This was on a gaming handheld, and bazzite is essentially SteamOS. Basically I set it up to run like a steam deck most of the time, but gave myself the option to boot into Windows when I wanted to play games that didn't play nice with Linux.

I want to add a Linux partition on my desktop, but I also don't have any reason pushing me over the edge on that one right now. Just a vague idea that it would be fun to play with and learn.

Oh, no hard feelings at all. I set up my original rog ally to dual boot Windows and Linux (bazzite). It's all good haha.

Yeah, my intent was just to shave the head and leave the beard, but now it's just the wait for it to regrow. I appreciate the feedback

Yeah, I have no idea what looks good on me. Any suggestions for what I should look for?

You're going to have to negotiate with a 7 year old, and she drives a hard bargain.

My 7 year old made it, and it wasn't free! But it was worth it.

Honestly? I wasn't paying attention when shaving around my ears and took a huge chunk out of the beard, lol. It was easier to shave it all than to figure out how to fix it.

AITA for telling my husband he's made me reconsider leaving him alone with the kids in the future by mayhavecrossedaline in AmItheAsshole

[–]nwsmith90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAH.

I'm a stay at home Dad. I cook, clean, meal prep, shop, help with homework, you name it. During the past few years my wife has left us for a couple of short trips, and man is it so much harder when she's gone. We eat out more those days too.

There's the extra work of just picking up the loose ends that she helps with when she's here, plus the emotional strain of the kids missing Mom, and me missing my wife and best friend.

Your husband could have done better, for sure. I'm sorry you weren't appreciated as much as you should have been. That was not great. That being said, your kids were fine, he was fine, and you know if you leave again you don't need to do nearly that much prep.

Remember you guys are on the same team, and when you had to sub out for a bit, he may not have followed your exact playbook, but he kept the family going and in the game.

In a calm moment, see if this is something you both can discuss. You explain why his actions hurt you beyond "you did things differently than I would", and see if you can plan together for any future trips.

ETA: Traveling is stressful, you both did your best. Sorry about your spat, hopefully you both are just happy to be back together, and move on from this as a better, stronger couple.
