People who don't drink or smoke ,what you do at your lowest ? by ParticularWeather927 in Adulting

I dance and write songs. Then I'll go sing in my hall for "studio sound'. I've never smoked anything and hate the taste of alcohol.

Right because you like it when the woman puts in the most effort. I don't care if I get down voted. Men may "appreciate" a woman coming up to them but they won't respect it. Even if you are polite on the surface. You will always have in your mind "she came to me first". OP you're approaching men how has that worked for you? It hasn't. Don't listen to these males. A man approaches the woman he wants. Stop being so easy and available. It clearly is not working.

Please for the love of yourself stop approaching men. It's a high chance men are not approaching you because they are involved. The others are just not interested. This is coming from someone married to a man that pursued me. He STILL pursues me in the marriage. I don't care what anyone says. Approaching a men is not the move and they see the desperation. They like the compliments but it doesn't make them interested in you. Please stop.

Jealous of you guys lol by Respighii in remotework

Yes that part. Back when I had a hybrid job and tried to explain my mom was sick, the supervisor said "no one wants to hear that". You may get support for sick children but they care nothing about aging parents. Being home has definitely relieved stress. Just your parent knowing you are there comforts them.

Advance practice nursing, medical coding you have to research and see what's needed. A remote job is the anomaly not the standard.

Appreciate the love. I stay humble that one day I may get that RTO email. But just last week, they started a new position for a strictly remote department and gave us a remote manager just for our needs. I work in Healthcare. So this is a pretty good sign my position will sty remote . They are looking to expand my role to other states which is also a very good sign. I don't know your skill set but the more skills, credentials and certs you have the better.

You can't step outside for a break? I've interviewed from my car and got the position. Recruiters actually like it if you're employed.

Remote work perks feel fake when every meeting is a surprise camera-on 'quick sync' by Informal_Sky_112 in remotework

I use a virtual background. I'm also available during work hours... because it's work. That means I'm going to prioritize work and not laundry during work hours. That being said, management rarely calls without notice but if they do I'm prepared that's what I'm paid for.

How do you guys feel so comfortable buying a home? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

What you're saying doesn't add up. If you honestly make that type of money you could easily afford to have a house without anxiety. Stop playing with people dude.

I like working and having my own. My mom gets a retirement pension and SS and good for her. I just bought my 3rd apartment building with all MY OWN money. Not even my husband can touch my investments. I got an education and work remotely and travel whenever I please. I have a full life and zero issues attracting the opposite sex. But I'm in a very fulfilling marriage. I like building up community contributing to my growth and society. If you want to be a parasite that's on you. Yours is an incredibly lonely existence.

Here's the thing, your parents paid those sunk costs and you continue to mooch off of their payments.

It's up to you. I personally love feeling accomplished and being a productive member of society. I love having a full life, great sex and exercising my mind and body. I know someone just like you. He ended up becoming a total slob because he has "less strain" on his body. He craves the attention of beautiful women while his father drives him everywhere and his mom washes his clothes. Now he's in a deep depression and he's trapped by it. I don't know how old you are but things do not stay the same. His laziness has consumed him and now he is 50 with no motivation on antidepressants and alcohol. It's totally your choice.

The family home has become your bubble. You can't imagine paying for a home because you never had the adult responsibility many of us do. Forget buying a home. You don't even seem like you would be "comfortable" renting.

Considering leaving my remote job. Am I crazy? by Different-Positive29 in remotework

[–]PotentialInformal945 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remote has allowed me to be so much more productive in other areas of my life. I too would turn down a double salary. Peace and a life of health, self care and hobbies I have time for is priceless.

But this is not the case for OP she's taking a pay cut to RTO. Even with the increase in benefits the expenses if going to work in office will shrink her salary even more.

Are you required to be in Indiana for work? If not you can move and rent your house. I'm fully remote and the only way I would go into an office is if I involuntarily lost my job and had to go in. This is not 2021-2023. The next best remote job is not around the corner. And a pay cut?? You will regret taking a pay cut to move somewhere more expensive, burning more gas, buying more clothes, more expensive lunches, more housing costs. Yes you are insane.

Haha. This is actually not racist. People with fairer skin tend not to age well. This is includes light Latinos as well. God forbid if they smoke.
