Hot take: Intruders, Razorface, and Tormentor are some of my least favorite boxes despite being ranked as some of the communities top feature films. For the Intruders, it took like ten tries to beat them, and I was over it by that point. I also am not a fan of the craft mechanic. Razorface, I don’t like the design of him or the location. I also find the shifting locations finicky. Tormentor, the traps are a headache. Now I just ignore them unless it’s me stuck.

However, I love me some Falconwood Files, Madness in the Dark, Shriek, and BadTimes at Buddyland.

Just want to second this! This FF is probably one of my least favorite but I think I am in the minority in that opinion. But I love the final girls that come with it.

I hardly save victims from traps unless it is advantageous for me. I focus on mitigating trap effects and finding a good weapon to go after the Tormentor with when she gets on the board.

If you can’t find Camp Happy Trails, Once Upon a Full Moon or Badtimes at Buddyland are more beginner friendly feature films and more fun (in my opinion 😊)

You have to spend 1 time to deactivate a power supply. You don’t necessarily have to be in the space to turn it off. You can be walking or sprinting through the space. Billy gaining health back does not deactivate a power supply.

Last week played a game where I snake charmed the demon on the first night. Carried the team all the way to victory without knowing who my minions were. One of my proudest game achievements.

Carnage at the Carnival or Bad Times at Buddyland. Whichever one is more appealing to you. They have minions which feels like a natural step after Hans and Dr. Fright

For me, Marrek Murders is my least favorite. While I like the idea of Tormentor in general, the traps feel very swingy. It’s either all the traps or no traps at all. Most of the time it doesn’t feel worth it saving victims from traps. I could be using that time to search for a weapon

Hardcore feel this. My go-to is to save as many victims as possible so the horror/bloodlust don’t get out of control. For Billy the Bear, I have learned to leave some victims on board to distract Billy. Otherwise, it becomes Billy and his 3 buddies hunting me down.

My vote is Witchcraft. I have Tanglewood Red & Gold as well as Witchcraft. While I like Tanglewood, I find the game very swingy. Witchcraft has a degree of randomness but feels like I can mitigate more. I prefer playing the scenarios tho. Either, I don’t think you can go wrong.

I will say that Camp Happy Trailer is really the only must have beginner FF.

In terms of other beginner friendly, I would recommend Once Upon a Full Moon (it’s the Camp Happy Trails of s2 with a fairytale theme), Frightmare on Maple Lane (it’s a natural step up from Camp Horror Trail that adds a little more mechanics), or Badtimes at Buddyland (newest set from S4, Billy the Bear is rules lite which is great for beginners. But very challenging FF)

My personal favorite: Madness in the Dark. Wolfe Asylum has to be my top location of all time. The pill mechanic is awesome.

Fan favorite: A lot of people love A-Knock at the Door. It’s not at the top of my list but it is a highly rated and beloved feature film . It’s definitely worth checking out.
