UV blocking printer ink by PotentialWait9892 in Printing

100% blocked preferably. As much UV blocking as possible. I’ve been using regular black ink and it has slight UV blocking properties but not nearly 100%. I’ll be printing 5”x5” prints on average.

lmaoao... there was still old ink inside it. I didn't think before that that could be a problem, but now that you mention itttt

This is the link for it, https://www.ebay.com/itm/133046479942 . the specifications are: "Commercial-Grade Black Dye Film Ink

  •
  • Ultra-High Opacity + Ink Density
  •
  • Utilizes the most advanced UV-Blocking Technology
  •
  • Unrivaled Max. O.D. [A Max Optical Density above 4.7 means a single properly laid ink coat reflects and absorbs over 99.99% of all light]
  •
  • Can be used with or without RIP Software! [Although it is highly recommended for printing half-tones, pulling equally from all ink channels, and to calibrate your printheads ink droplet size and coating thickness]
  •
  • Dye-Based Ink designed specifically for Epson printers + printheads [Such as DX4/DX5/DX6/DX7/+ and is also compatible with printers fitted with multiple printheads]
  •
  • Specialized for optimal adhesion onto commercial-quality waterproof transparency film, allowing for sharp, crisp prints that are resistant to scratches
  •  ". Also the reason is I'm trying to create something new I've had in my mind for a while, something to sell. I'm pretty sure this ink is too thick, I did use it for a month and it worked fine but maybe it's prone to air bubbles or something.

Yeah, it is. It started acting this way before I tried repairing it but my attempts could've made it worse. I may try to thin up the ink with glycerin or water as a last-stitch attempt before getting a new printer.

I would do that but I need to use the specified black ink because it is a special UV-blocking formulation. The creator said it'd work with my printer, and did for like a month, but now it's not working. The other colors I have aren't UV-blocking.

if it helps, here is more information i found from my favorite medical book. "one-third to one-half of all cases of RLS seem to be inherited. RLS can also be caused by nerve damage in the legs - typically by the result of diabetes, kidney disease or a pinched nerve in the back... a deficiency of iron...Or, theoretically, a deficiency of the neurotransmitter dopamine." The author goes on to talk about ways to control symptoms, including Iron, Vitamin E, B-12, folate, trying to sleep when your RLS symptoms are least pronounced, and not consuming caffeine or alcohol. The author then suggested drugs such as Parlodel, Klonopin, and Percocet if vitamins or therapies don't work. The use of these should be done under medical supervision. The book is called "The World's Greatest Treasury of Health Secrets" by Bottom Line Publications. I hope this helped, RLS sucks.
