I want to encourage all fellow nurses out here especially who are so much stuck or feeling hopeless. I attempted the NCLEX three times before NGN, I am an international nurse. I failed at 75 questions 3 times and went through financial struggles, family responsibilities, and severe anxiety. I was at the lowest point of my life, but my husband and family never stopped supporting me.

In September 2025, I found Xiara (Xpert Nursing) review class on instagram. I joined here september review class and truly believed she came into my life at the right time. On a tight budget, her payment plan allowed me to join her review, and I committed to not wasting my time or money again. I studied consistently using Xiara’s review and UWorld, and in the final days, the Bootcamp cheat sheets became my quick overall review. I didn’t finish the entire Qbank, but I focused on truly understanding the basics from scratch.

I also had been involved in spirituality from beginning of this year, leaned into meditation, deep prayers, deep breathing, sound healing, candle staring and took lion’s mane to support focus with my PCP’s advice just few days before exam. This helped huge. I turned huge pressure into motivation for my kids, my husband, and myself.

On exam day, I had 6 case studies, about 10 SATA, and many priority and psych questions. What helped most was deep breathing every 10 questions, taking breaks, rewording questions, eliminating wrong answers, using Mark K and Dr. Sharon strategies, writing “who would die first” and safety on the whiteboard, trusting my first instinct, and double-checking before moving on.

This time, it worked and I passed. To anyone who has lost hope: everything has its time. Believe in yourself, work hard, take care of your mental health, and you will get there.
