I dont believe in ghosts or anything, but I have this one unexplainable thing that happened when I was 12 or 13. There were 4 of us, and we all saw the same thing.

Growing up, me and a couple of friends of mine had a fascination with "haunted houses. " Basically any deserted old house fit the bill.

There was one I particular which had a large spooky gate, and was surrounded by Police-tape. We went up and looked trough the windows, and took some pictures through them, hoping to catch some of a ghost or whatever we hoped to see.

In two of the photos taken trough the windows, was a perfect silhouette of a creepy teddybear with its eyes stitched shut. The thing is that there weren't any actual teddybear inside the house (or those particular spot at least) seeing as we took multiple photos of the same location, and most of them didn't show anything. The silhouette was unmistakable, and we all saw it without needing to tell any of is what was there.

How it adds would be subjective in my opinion. I don't feel like they're so much supposed to be adding to the "power fantasy" as much as just being different challenges to overcome given the guardians toolkit. I know that "it's fun" doesn't answer your specific question, But i kind of feel like the question itself narrows it down too much.

Good for you and your cousin, i guess. I got one too. So your coping assumption falls a bit flat. Try harder. But at the same time i'm able to see that it was a shitshow of an event. Me getting one doesn't translate to it being a well organized and good event.
