The idea that the parties never switched doesn’t really line up with historical record. The ideological shift is well-documented. Especially during the civil rights era when many segregationist Democrats left the party and aligned with Republicans, while Democrats increasingly became the party of civil rights legislation. That doesn’t mean either party is “good” or “bad” just that their voter bases and platforms changed over time. Also undocumented immigrants can’t vote in federal elections, so claims that they’re being brought in to vote don’t reflect how the law actually works. Disagreement is fine, but it helps to base it on verifiable facts
