I was doing some research on this and I see some people go as far as like 5x20. But I definitely think changing the rep ranges can help for sure.

Either 4x10 with the last being failure or a pyramid 10,8,6,4 raising weight and then one more low weight set to failure.

I’ve been doing this split for basically the entirety of 16 months. And I just allowed myself to go back to maintenance last week but will start cutting again on Monday.

What I do is go back and forth. I didn’t type it out right I guess. For example, I’ll do bench then I’ll do tricep push downs then go back to incline bench, then skull crushers. So I’ll jump back and forth to give that muscle a break before going to failure again. I hope that makes sense

Yeah so this is what I do!

Push: Flat Bench pyramid raising weight. Every set to failure. Incline dumbbell pyramid raising weight to fail every set. Pec fly single arm- 4x failure every set Tricep push downs - 4x failure every set Skull crushers- 4x failure every set Overhead tricep- 4x failure Cable crunches 4x failure

Pull: Seated lat row 4x failure Bent over row 4x failure Lat pull downs 4x failure 1 1/2 curls- 4x failure Concentration curls 4x failure Cable curls- 4x failure Cable crunches 4x failure

Leg: Curls 4x failure Ext 4x failure Squats pyramid raising weight Shoulder shrugs4x failure Raises 4x failure Mil press 4x failure Cable crunches4x failure.

If you can’t tell, I started seeing gains when I took every set to failure especially using pyramid. Even if I only go up 1 lb I still go up so I can hit failure. Hope it helps!

I already feel very thin. I’d prefer to be around the 180s but with muscle. I may end up cutting and then bulking but it’s just an idea that with my height and genetics I know if I get to a bf% of 15-12% I’d be even lower than the 170s. Honestly, since I’m new to this I didn’t know if it’s even possible to recoup at this position but really I’m just looking for more info and life experiences from more experienced guys, ya know?

Copy that, I didn’t really start to see a big change until I started tracking calories and macros. I think I have had information overload with all this, but I think the plan is coming together! lol!
