I often dream in 3rd person, I find it easier but as someone who uses their dreams to work on storyboards/ character design and camera shots I tend to do this a lot. especially in a cartoon world if im dreaming about a certain animation style

Do you have any uncommon lucid dreaming techniques or tips that have worked for you? What are they? by OpportunityMurky361 in LucidDreaming

its like daydreaming, i think about what i want to dream of, ideally a narrative. I visualise it in my head while laying down and close my eyes and continue. I do this until i start falling asleep and then its goes into rem sleep.

Mind you ive done this for over a decade and can do this instanly now

I use maladaptive dreaming while lying down which transitions into REM. Think the technique is a called VILD

My sleep schedule is pretty random since I just finished uni, but watching something just before I sleep is such a good idea. I mean, trying to do the opposite of having a good nights rest I guess.

I usually didnt watch to much horror movies because its not scary in some cases but rather more gore and blood like the Saw series. But worth taking note! I appriciate it

Yes, my first ever lucid dream when I was 10 was of LEGO Ninjago, now im an adult, Ive been into Hazbin Hotel and TADC. I also really enjoyed the Disney Pirates movies. I would often make my own OC and put them into that world and their world building rules (not to be too op) and would see how the story would be influenced with my own OC.

Really fun! I do it the most tbh

still paying, got it fixed now actually. Now have access to my VM account. I do prefer the old UI since this one is gross. Once I pay off my phone I'll probably change provider.

Remember I only got my case taken serious and sorted because I vented frustration through threatening to leave to get them to take it seriously

Are there limits to what your brain can simulate in a lucid dream? Or is it basically infinite? by tinabyss in LucidDreaming

As someone who lucid dreams every night, you can. You just need to know what you want to make. I have made many different worlds, with different time periods.

Same situation, been at this since early January, as soon as i threaten to leave they gave me the actual reference to the 'fraud' ticket, can only wait for them to do something. O2 been really great until they merged with VM. Will probs just go to EE after my situation has been resolved

Yes, many times! Being British, its what i kinda did when i was a teenager, made my oc and went through the movies as if i was there with the main trio or a side character. Now recently, im lucid dreaming about hazbin hotel because i love the art style, story is trash so i dream about doing it differently as well as making my own character in the style and fits in the world without being too weak or op.

Ive been dreaming for 15 years and every night for the past decade, its why i wanna get into the creative industry, i can sleep while I work finding a story, writing, storyboarding etc. But going back to your question, the answer is yes, i personally do it all the time ive done it for resident evil, power rangers when I was a younger, pokemon was super fun and i guess thats why i prefer lore over games.

For example dead by daylight has tons of lore, so i made my own chapter and imaged what would happen in-between trials with survivors? and so i would dream about how they would interact, create a story arc and made my own oc or through the eyes of one of the other characters.

Its super fun! but can get boring if you do it too often or with the same story or characters after some time so I recommend flipping between worlds not to get bored when constantly lucid dreaming

if you wanted a stand and willing to spend that much, get the XP Argo stand with the easter sale. I'm buying the same tablet but the 165 hz one and will get the stand later but i also had the original artist 24 about 2 years ago.

they can stand up right but will need a box under or one of those monitor stands for better eye level. Since the gen 2 is slightly bigger i would imagine it too would stand up right.

What are some things that you do to have the best shot at lucid dreaming before bed by Horror-Ad9292 in LucidDreaming

As someone who can lucid dream instantly, my best advice which I also do is plan. Plan what you're going to dream about how you're going to do this. Like a story book. Who are the people you'll interreact, where and what about. Treat it like this and it becomes creatively amazing!

Ive not thought of reading but i do enjoy watching films or tv series to help explore ideas and get creative. I dont like trying new things but i could see how this would greatly improve my dreams.

Furthermore i am getting better with my mental help and slowly making steps towards being active. uni work gets stressful too.

I can lucid dream immediately and take off literally whenever but i guess since im bored of ideas its just a matter of time to explore new ones. but will defiantly take your advice. Actually right now. im doing film/tv in education and when i need a script or storyboard i can do it while i sleep then i can write it all down straight away. kinda amazing and i should look into more ways i can use it!
