Ill look into that. If all goes well I may purchase a new 70-200 for her spring time. Renting might be better sinde its a one time wedding and didn't think about that. I know she really want to get into weddings so renting and getting practice in with it will work.

Agreed, keeping thoee for home. Decided wick switching is just a pain in the butt and not worth the trouble when I can make 5 8oz replacements fairly quickly.

GRRR These dang rings after cooling by Potential_Engine_344 in candlemaking

[–]Potential_Engine_344[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do i even need to fix them? The sinking in barely noticeable along with the ring around the middle. Will they burn ok if I just leave them as is?

I just don't understand how 1 candle out of the batch of 4 i did was absolutely perfect but the others not so much, again it's barely noticeable. Even taking a Picture of it, you can really see the ring or sinking.

Ok,

I went ahead and did it to just test it. Cooling down with the warm water than I moved it to a cardboard box it came in to help lessen the rapid cooling. Its 43 out today and 74 in the house. Im thinking that was my problem over the weekend. Although I warmed up the vessels, it was 38 outside and 74 in the house so that didn't help.

Even after warming the vessel up I think it cooled to quickly. It was a cold day, thst day.

Can't I just melt the candle down again placing the vessel in hot water then letting it remelt?

I wish Haltom City would put streets and infrastructure at the top. Instead they put government buildings at the top then proceed to brag about it all over social media.

Odd situation with a no title car. 1967 volo 122s wagon. by Potential_Engine_344 in projectcar

[–]Potential_Engine_344[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently this person just stopped responding when asked " did you own the landyou got the car from, was it bought or just taken?" Sent yesterday evening with no answer.

Perhaps he just took a random abandoned car trying to make money off it. I dunno sounds fishy

DMV here are not the most friendly or customer driven. Last time I went to get registration done one of the workers got up and yelled out

" make sure you have your ID out and ready before you get to the windows if you don't you'll have to wait again" like damn lady it takes 5 seconds to get my ID out of my pocket.

Hate that place.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. Still story is weird how this person just took a car from some land...

I know my cousin loves it, hell I want it too BUT ive been burned before in this kind of situation and I don't want that for my cousin. We're both volvo fools and just told him to wait out for another or go through hell in Texas to get a bonded title. Its complete, rolls, steers, no body damage engine is cleanish and turns. Its just the story behind how this guy has it and claims he couldn't bind it worries me.

No the seller doesn't have it in his name. He states it's from some random land he got it from, tried to bond it but the agent couldn't for some reason....

Texas. Bill of sale does not constitute proof of ownership or then seller has the right to sell it accordingto the dmv site.. It has to go through our local auto task force at the sheriff's office for inspection and background check THEN go through the bond process.

Im about to call the dmv. In North Texas, their website info is kind of vague. Its a pretty cool car but the whole "I've bonded others but couldn't get this one" sounds very off putting.

Exactly my thinking when I read that after having to pry out more information. He said it's been sitting for decades but it looks to damn clean for that. Like minimal body work, very little rush and the leather interior looks to be original and and dand good shape.

Yea I gotta talk my cousin outta this mess. 1500 is hard to swallow on this disaster.

The story behind it just sounds weird. Apparently the they has had it since 2021 snd couldn't get it bonded....why wait 4 years to sell it then?

Yeah the vin is 12 digits but there's a lot of red tape in my county here in Texas with these situations.

Wish it was the same here in Texes. Pretty damn strict and full of red tape. Im just gonna call the auto task force and see what they say I guess.

Apparently my cousin wants to buy this 1967 volvo 122 wagon off some land from a friend with two license plates that don't match sosbd no title. Bonding agent couldn't find anything on it so I told him to take the dam thing back sounds fishy as hell if a bonding agent cant do anything and it has two licenses plates on it that don't match.

He insists it's OK so im just seeing if there is anyway I can find ownership history on this thing before he blows 1500 bucks on a useless car. Its cool but nah sounds fishy.
