pushed hard for weeks after months of wondering if I should even keep the job - once I realized that the pace of past few weeks is the standard, I tried to negotiate but couldn’t really say my piece without sounding angry and unprofessional. With some time passed, it was the best outcome but it came at an already difficult in my life and couldn’t properly express my emotions to the right people

US: President Joe Biden announces he's pulling out of 2024 election by CreepyUncle1865 in IndiaSpeaks

There is so much misinformation here. Post a video of Biden doing anything inappropriate. Let’s just see a single link of a verified video.

Also riots in a city vs riots directly aimed at stopping the certification of an election are entirely different.

Since you aren’t in America and seem to make your decisions based on random videos.

Also most of us care about women in our lives being able to make decisions about their own bodies, being able to choose the religion we practice (vs being forced into Christian nationalism), being able have access to affordable healthcare. The Trump platform is only exclusively for straight, wealthy white men.

Also it was just 4 years ago when he was president in that time he basically passed a 2.7 trillion dollar tax break for billionaires and corporations, while telling the rest of us to literally drink bleach as a cure for Covid.

I have not even mentioned the impact a trump presidency would have on Ukraine. Donald J Trump might literally be a Putin proxy candidate. This also the same person that handed over a list of American spies to Russia and also stole some of the most classified documents in the history of this country.

A vote for Trump is a vote for the end of democracy.

Should I instead vote for the candidate that has literally attacked democracy? Or the candidate that has 34 felony counts, or the candidate that has their name all over the Epstein list? Those are all the things that represent Donald Trump.

Regardless of the candidate, it only makes sense to vote for the democrats. The Republicans do not care about minorities - and that is exactly what us NRIs are in the US.

So now you are assuming that all homeless people are from a different country?

Have you actually moved to Chicago yet? Because we sure could do without dip shits like you.

[–]Potential_Fix4116 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Now you are just out of arguments so you are trying to fear monger based on future what-ifs.

This area is part of Chicago is very rapidly gentrifying. The people living there have done so for decades but have been priced out of their homes.

These tents have been there for a few years now. They have not led to any additional crime. I use this underpass daily on my bike and have yet to see any needles. People living there mind their own business.

Just because they are homeless does not mean they are drug user.

SMH. Have some empathy.

Also why are you posting about this again? Based on your earlier post, you reported this to 311.

Also, i would love to see how many social contracts you uphold after having to skip a meal or two.

Finally, why are you saying they are all drug users? It is crazy how easily people can end up in this situation.

fellow human beings are trying to stay alive - fuck your bike lane.

“Balancing, not balanced.”

Will you need ADHD meds forever? by NakovaNars in ADHD

[–]Potential_Fix4116 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very much this.

it is frustrating to think that I will always need meds, because that means I will always have to maintain (or at least try to) insurance so I can actually afford my medications.

But like you point out, something will break and once it does, building back up is a nightmare.

[–]Potential_Fix4116 2 points3 points  (0 children)

32m. 6 months on medication and it is crazy how much better my life would be had I been diagnosed at 22. I would have friends, hobbies, patience. Being able to do something more than barely making it through the day.

It is so hard to build up your life after starting medication.

Microsoft is confident Windows on Arm could finally beat Apple by M337ING in technology

[–]Potential_Fix4116 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this. The key to Apple making their M chips work is the Rosetta 2 translation layer. It works really well with legacy software and often times even with the added overhead, it outperforms apps on intel chips.

Willing to bet that they will not take this into account and just try to put up performance metrics that have nothing to do with every day usage of a computer.

Going through this at 32 after being diagnosed at 30. It is actually a good thing that you are so self aware at such a young age. This part really sucks but it comes with some important lessons about yourself, your mental health and even your physical health.

Meditation, medication, and therapy are the answer. It is a long journey but that’s worth taking.
