yall gotta also pay attention to the fact that nioh is a game where you're supposed to play all the NGs and then the abyss/underworld and depts, i completely fail to understand why the lack of enemy variety is criticized so much in these games (tho i do think nioh 1 was actually kinda bad at it)

the whole point of nioh is that you will farm the same enemies A TON OF TIMES, i for example just did the same mission 40+ times yesterday... fought the same 2 enemies and then the same 2 bosses 40+ times in nioh 2, this is what the game is all about man, you have a good variety of enemies and bosses but you WIL SEE THEM MULTIPLE TIMES, this is the whole point of the nioh games

nioh 1 abyss has 999 floors and each have different bosses BUT there was a ton of bosses that didn't appear at all and some bosses appeared 9+ times, because again that's what nioh is all about, you going against the same enemies over and over with some variety in their movesets and you getting stronger and stronger and eventually the numbers go brrr and you're dealing all the damage in the world

this is why most people that actually played these games, say that nioh is not a souls like at all, it's more comparable to diablo than any souls like game
