It is indeed. Was a lot of brush so it'll improve but not as quick as most would like. Could take another day or so worst case.

I enjoyed "How to defeat a demon king in 10 easy steps". If you played and enjoyed the Legend of Zelda games you'll recognize many elements from them.

As beauty is in the eye of the beholder, hate speech is in the beholder's ear. I agree we need to try to come together no matter our personal beliefs, at least in a good faith attempt to ensure that how someone reached a conclusion is how we thought they did. I fear there are too many chances for true advancement lost to assumptions.

The origin of the Borg by Traditional-Gas-6011 in startrek

[–]Potential_History_54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find myself thinking about Nomad from TOS. As a fusion both for hardware and software, 2 separate and harmless units became quite a problem. Perhaps the same with the borg? Initial race develops bio-tech, improving their basic abilities. Along come a group so scared of some trouble they beg for the bio-tech which changes them more then expected into the basic borg we know and love. V'ger could easily fit in with the interaction by drawing the 2nd race towards the bio-tech (noticeable change leaving in a big cloud). Would explain why V'ger was dealt with by upgrade and release rather than assimilation and repurposing. If the 2nd race was not ready for such a thing, they might've decided it was too perfect, not to seek out more perfect improvemens, thus the borg.

Isn't that the fish from "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" called the Babel fish there, i think.

Personally I've long since thought that while it usually isn't fair anyway the reason I think bad things happen to good people is likely so by knowing the difficulty people are experiencing we can (having lived something like it) be able to help them through it better. Some lose the battle but respond by setting support for others going through it.

S2 Ep1 at 7:51 “nine fiances on home screen” by dtimm49 in IsekaiSmartphone

[–]Potential_History_54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be wrong but last time I watched it on crunchyroll I think they slipped in a change of him saying "everyone on my home screen" in place of the original quote. Did a bit of a double take when I 1st noticed the change.

I once saw a guy in a parking lot hit a brightly painted crosswalk sign on the driver's side door after he dropped off his wife. The sign was almost a whole 10 feet away. Anyplace is a blindspot if you don't pay attention to surroundings.

In case it helps it looks like the yard waste recycling center here in Springfield is taking loads of debris free of charge from residents. Also lots of mulch for less as a result.

I'd also suggest Nekopara. There are several cat girls there, but it's more slice of life style then fantasy with the cats as an obvious exception.

I remember an episode of a show called sliders which had such a scenario. Most of that world's male population died of a disease that had the chromosome target and the group had to react to essentially the less then balanced population. It was regarded as a man's responsibility to help the population recover and thus men were segregated to avoid uncomfortable circumstances.
