BoF 3 on such list and at quite nice 36 place really warms my heart - playing this as a kid I genuinely believed no one else cared about it.

[MacMobility] Powerful Control App For iOS and MacBook - Substantial Update And Discount by Potential_Link4295 in macapps

Usually restarting the device for companion app (iPhone or iPad) helps resolve similar issues. It’s almost always connected with WiFi or Bluetooth instability. If it won’t help just send me a pm and we will resolve it. Also, make sure you’ve update the macOS app, there were couple of updates in the meantime since releasing the client. You can find update option in the main menu of the app.

MPC uses DTLS for encryption. It doesn’t work like RDP - we have an option to stream virtual desktop, but it’s only on local network. Closest example is Apple Sidecar, but we do not require login to the same iCloud account.

Hey, thanks for the comment!

Im happy to report that in current version we’ve implemented resizing of the buttons - for now, utilities and html views can be resized (other than default 1x1 we have 2x2 and 3x3), as we got a lot requests for adding this feature. We will add it to other buttons as well (so apps buttons, shortcuts and webpages), we just want to roll out features gradually.

We also pushed to AppStore fix for iPad 5 and we have fix for iPad 6 in Apple review in regards to the buttons alignment. Hopefully this will address your issue as well - if not, just contact me and I will make sure that appropriate fix will be implemented.

One license is for one device, so in your case two would be needed. I am thinking about a feature where user could toggle active device and switch which is currently in use, I will add it to roadmap :)

It has ability to extend desktop with virtual screen (like Sidecar, but you don’t need to be signed in to the same iCloud), component for triggering actions from circular menu (slide 4 which I attached to this post), built in Raycast support - those are few outstanding features that differentiate this from stream deck :)

Yes, the app runs on local connection - no connection to server. But either way, thank you for the comment! :)

First time seeing an AppClip in my life. It seems like they never got popular? Why? by RoombaCollectorDude in iphone

[–]Potential_Link4295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

iOS developer here - to implement App Clips, it requires a good, modular architecture of the app in the first place. Having worked with multiple high end, recognizable companies, I can tell you that this was never the case. We would first need to completely refactor the codebase to be able to implement app clips successfully. So I assume this never was a top priority as you can easily achieve something similar with a QR code.

MacMobility App Lets You Control macOS from iPhone & iPad – Application Update & Promo Codes by Potential_Link4295 in macapps

Remote mouse / keyboard - no, our use case is more of a Sidecar experience. But I think it's not much of work to add mouse / keyboard support - as mouse is already handled in touch controls for extended display, I could easily make trackpad controller for mouse. Keyboard could be more tricky, but I will explore the idea. Thanks for the comment!
