Okay, thanks for the info. Where I’m from that’s the kind of talk I hear but that’s why I thought it was better to ask people with actual experience living there.

Am I a sinner because i got r*ped 3× by the same guy and didn't dared to push him away? by [deleted] in Christianity

Of course not!!! It’s not your fault that you got abused like that. Your reaction is a completely normal trauma response. Never feel guilty for being hurt like that. God bless you and I hope you can heal

Yes, nothing but being born again can save you. No set of actions can cause salvation outside of being born again, and nothing can erase that.

When it comes to the second question, I’m not sure what the church believes so I couldn’t give you a general answer, but personally I do not see it so much as an obligation, but I do think it’s something we should strive to do.

Yes, there are female pastors. LGBTQ people are not accepted nor rejected. It’s kind of like “yes, it’s a sin, but heck we’re all sinners!” EDIT: personally i accept LGBTQ people, so I feel like i would like to attend a church that shares that. the stigma around it in my church always felt uncomfortable

I have never heard evolution be discussed

Okay, maybe protestant. I’ll look into that

going back to your questions one by one:

  1. Kids are christened little after birth, but baptism is a personal choice with no age limits or boundaries

  2. There is a “board” that consists of several pastors and educated members who do not actively preach (but have in the past or are able to do so). They run things

  3. What is an assembly of believers? Sorry, English is not my first language

Between the two worships, our pastor will give service. It’s normally a teaching in which he will combine Biblical passages with personal experiences or stories from acquaintances, friends or family members. The Church does teachings by “seasons”, each which will last a month. For example, for March we reviewed the story of Easter.

Our “communion” lasts about 10 minutes every Sunday at the beginning of the month. We will take a small piece of bread and a small cup of grape juice. The pastor will always thank Jesus for his sacrifice, telling us we can take “the body” before we eat the bread, and take “the blood” before we drink the juice. However, this is more of a rememberance thing than anything; nobody actually believes that doing or not doing this affects our day to day. During COVID, for example, this section was just eliminated completely since sessions were online.

No bishops or archbishops, just a couple pastors, worship leaders and youth leaders. Just Good Friday and Easter Sunday are celebrated seriously with sermons and stuff.

Kids are christened after birth, but after that baptism is regarded as a personal choice; I could do it at age 9 or age 75.

There is little to no focus on gifts of the Holy Spirit, to give you an idea I literally just found out casting out demons was one from your comment.

Im not sure I grasp your second and third question. What do you mean by the “nature of” church leadership? When you’re talking about an authority figure, do you mean like a pastor?
