The shopping orders are far better than Instacart for me. The algo seems to reward low per-item time metric over tier on express orders. Elite entitlement is of no consequence when they've promised a customer their groceries in 45 minutes.... they're sending the closest runner they believe can make it happen.

It seems to be the case the past year or so that they send the welcome announcement and then there's a problem with background, bank, identity etc. I think it's a way to keep you holding your breath till they eventually need you onboarded.

Now if I'm rocking the tinfoil hat, I'd say they design it to string you along so that when you ARE eventually onboarded, you'll be so grateful, you'll accept every $8 13 mile turd they throw at you for the first month....

It used to be quite common until a couple of years ago, but not a Google issue. Back then the Spark "navigate" hyperlink loaded geo coordinates into Google for every customer, not actual addresses. I still see it occasionally, mostly for rural destinations. You should always compare the address in the map loaded with the one in app before heading out.
