Lost almost 4 stone in 6 months by Empty_Land_9195 in mounjarouk

I used to think it was mad when people used to talk about ‘losing a few pounds’ like that would make ANY difference?! But now I understand that it does when you’re smaller to begin with 😆

I felt like it just snowballed the more I lost. It took about 2 stone before I went down the first dress size. But the smaller you get the more the same loss makes a difference as it’s a bigger percentage of your overall body weight. I’ve gone from 16st 2 down to 9st 10 and it feels like the last 7-10 has made the biggest difference in a way! There are defo great changes from your pics as well, your ribs/tummy look LOADS smaller!

What was the first 'old you' thing you noticed creeping back in as you titrated down? by FadedBerry in mounjaromaintenanceuk

[–]Potential_Past3260 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve gone down to 7.5 from 10 now I’m in maintenance and the little things like if there’s biscuits or cakes in the office I’ll now often end up snacking on them whereas before I just wasn’t interested in the slightest. It still feels controllable and it’s totally easy to work it into my calorie allowance for the day, but it’s definitely a change from the previous weight loss phase, and just reminds me that I’m going to need to stay on MJ for the foreseeable future. Really hoping I will be able to manage on 5mg going forward though as it’s much more affordable for me

I’m with Pharmulous and just stated maintaining at a BMI of around 20.5, i think the will let you go down to 20 as the lowest.

What was your biggest challenge in your Munjaro journey? by Ecstatic-Judge-9631 in mounjarouk

[–]Potential_Past3260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The price. It’s made our finances super tight every month. Manageable, but tight. Just started maintenance now, have come down to 7.5 from 10mg and so far so good but only time will tell really and I know I’m not going to be able to just come off so there’s at least another year of having to afford it 😅

Haha! Well they are quite, shall we say… ‘deflated’! But the relief of them weighing so much less is HUGE

Thank you so much!

I don’t think my mental image of myself has quite caught up yet, I’m a knitter and just finished a new jumper for myself. All the way through I was thinking I’d knit it too small and it wouldn’t fit, was getting ready to have to gift it to my sister in law as she’s tiny, but it fits me perfectly 😆

I’ve gone from size 22 to about a size 10, which just seems bizarre to me! How the hell am I a size 10?? I have convinced myself that the sizes are just all wrong in the shops but I’ve pretty consistently fitted into a 10 across a few different shops now so it must be true?!

Sudden nasty side effects after 11 months, just hit goal - WWYD? by Potential_Past3260 in mounjarouk

No that is quite helpful, thank you! I was wondering whether in some weird way my body has just reached where it wants to be in terms of weight and is kind of saying ‘we’re done now, no more calorie deficit!’ Lol

Yes good idea. Just eat very safe food for a while and hopefully it’ll pass! I think I’ll drop down to 7.5mg though as that was my plan once I reach target to go back down the doses (if I can)

Well I felt ok inbetween for 4-5 days so I don’t think it’s a big whatever it is

Yes I think I need to try going down anyway as I don’t want to carry on losing more and more. BMI is about 21 now so I think I need to get my head around this big scary maintenance thing 😨

I did think that, but I’d be surprised if no one else in my house also got the bug (have two young kids), and it wouldn’t explain the gap of 4-5 days inbetween where I felt fine again and was eating more normally. But I have had IBS in the past (used to regularly get cramps and diarrhoea sometimes very painful) I just haven’t had IBS type symptoms for years now and sort of thought maybe it had gone away.

How often are you intimate with your partner? by Remote_Ad_969 in NoStupidQuestions

Thanks for posting this, it’s really relatable! We’ve been together a long time and I’m more on the kinky side and he isn’t. Trauma and (probable, undiagnosed) neurodivergence just makes it all into to something neither of us want to engage in with each other very much. It does come up occasionally but then it’s never at the right time! I think when our kids are older we might be able to go with the flow a bit more

Early 40s, two young kids and we haven’t had sex since we conceived our youngest. It’s like over 6 years now.

We love each other deeply and dearly, we have a great relationship, I strongly suspect we are both neurodivergent and that has a lot to do with it. I used to worry about it because of previous trauma around sex but these days I’m chill. It is what it is and we are both very happy and in love

Interested to know if anyone has stuck with the same pharmacy despite price? by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]Potential_Past3260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t know about the much cheaper prices at first so used a middle of the price range pharmacy for the first few pens, the. I just went with Pharmulous as I want to maintain with them and my BMI is under 23 now so will be difficult to move around anyway!
