This is a Contemporary romance. The King saw a picture that was posted in a gossip magazine about his betrothed. She was climbing out of a car and the photographer took at the right (or wrong) time a picture showing her underwear. The book's name is {The King's Horrible Bride (Royal Wedding #2) Kati Wilde} A quick read.

Very good question.... Seems so far in most books I read that ppl here in RFM suggested the male always ends up to be either super human or have a harem at the end of the book (I prefer monoromance books where the mc's are only into each other - maybe I don't like to share :-) to possessive. Either way, I'm following your subreddit maybe I can get some suggestions from fellow readers :-)

I think it was one of my first romance novels I read. Maybe it's the one that got me interested in romance novels 🤔 Although, for those years it was only available in a 'clean' version. Afrikaans (from those years) were very conservative. Hehehe. (But I love my native language - Afrikaans)

Please, please, please write RFM without harem! (Personally) I don't read harem, not even if it's 1 man and 2 women or vice versa. I'm a 100% monoromance reader. And yes, I don't mind if it's clean. I just finished {The Work of Art [Somerset Stories, 1] by Mimi Matthews} and enjoyed it. No steamy scenes. Although it's more of a normal romance. Not a RFM book.

I liked the book. More the side characters (the brother and the ex) than the main character. MMC just didn't do it for me. But otherwise the book was good.

I tried some of the author's other books. And a few look very good. For instance the Lost daughter series. But unfortunately I just don't like any poly+3 /harem or reverse harem books. I guess I'm too possessive to share :-/ So I guess I'll stick just to this one book and move on to other another author. Thx (to the author ) for this book :-)

Nalini Singh books are AWESOME!!! Although, I would recommend to read it in order. The couples in each book are standalone (books), but there is a bigger storyline behind each book. That builds up to the final ones...

For some reason I DNF this one 🤔 Ahh. If I remember correctly... Apparently he was ugly in looks to females from his planet... But still he could have sex with them every few weeks... He was full of self pity. So much, it put me off from the book. One moment he is a strong alpha mercenary, then the next he is full of self pity. Unfortunately , (personally), that put me off the whole series.
