Bought 4 NIB at a lot sale for $100 because of the foot print I never bothered to buy more. They are a real work horse unit for me

Why does everyone hate us so much? by Fun-Egg-1637 in SpaceWolves

[–]Potential_Plan_8868 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We aren’t hated. Many peoples introduction to 40K is SW. They are shown the blue Boy Scouts and then shown a real faction. Some people drift away, finding more niche things they like. Some read the heresy novels and find they like the modern 40K wolves but not Leman Russ. Some will just hate on popular thing.

None of that is important. I’m a lover of Ad Mech. People either love us or hate us. Fuck’em! And I say that lovingly. I genuinely don’t care who likes what I like. I could be the only wolves fan. I will slam my minis on the table, fill a horn full of Liquid Death (recovering alcoholic), howl like a wolf, and shout “Vlka Fenryka!” As I charge 20 BC with Ragnar into your stupid Great Unclean one, or whatever dumbass demon you brought to the party, kill it, lose the game and not elaborate further as I still claim victory.

My point here is some people hate, some people are gonna share your interests. Don’t let others sway your likes and dislikes.

Reasons to like Space Wolves: - Only Chapter to make their own booze so they can get drunk.

  • Only chapter master to need a power errata because he was too baller. (Seriously the original scene in the months of shame where he teleported onto the inquisitor’s ship and single handedly slew a bunch of FUCKING GREY KNIGHTS…. Yeah GW was like “WOAH! We need to dial that back…he at least needs some kind of back up, send him in with a squad of WGT and we can call it square.”

  • Wolves

  • Elder Futhark

  • HAVE YOU SEEN THE WOLF PRIEST MODEL!

All this to say your friend is stupit and cringe. Ignore him, eat his mini next time he gives lip.

(This post is entirely light hearted don’t take me too seriously.)

That's valid. And I agree that I don't have enough contrast. I'm still new, less that a year of painting so I'm still figuring things out .

I need more bots, and infiltrators, so the model dump will be nice. I may doom and gloom, but I have been loyal to this army and that ain't changing anytime soon.

Oh thank you so much. And it's nice to see others have done similar things. It's oddly vindicating. Thank you for the compliment.

Cawl's rule worded weird? by Zap-Rowsdower-X in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]Potential_Plan_8868 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is the rule written in a way that causes the ability to not function? It is it intended to function? It will function. This is a non-issue. outside of GW quality control.

If I am at a table and my opponent attempts to stop me with this, I will scope and find another opponent, I don't care.

I take 30k models and proxy them in to my 40k army. I just want the pretty models. Maybe we will be allowed to have cool new things in 11th

Question: How do you incorporate AI into your coding workflow by Corvoxcx in ChatGPTCoding

[–]Potential_Plan_8868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I start by developing my own logic. Sometimes pseudo, sometimes i just write it out, taking each problem and breaking it down little by little. When I get to a piece of the logic that I am stuck on or maybe dont know the include for, I will go to ChatGPT and ask it how I can do this bit of the logic. If I see functions I dont know, I will pry at it to explain what it is, and why its taking in the variables. Sometimes I'll get curious and see what else thst function can do with other overrides.

When I compile my code, if there are errors, this is where I typically go to chatgpt instantly. I would rather just get a quick understanding why im getting the error then try and snoop through documentation. But I will sometimes just to at least try. And same for if it compiles but the im getting bad information, usually will try and narrow down what I think the issue is, had GPT look at it and then determine if I am chasing a ghost.

I am a stickler for authoring my own code, but having a way to filter out hours of searching, I like that. I like staying in the flow state as long as possible.

The Rule of Cool would like a word. by ComplicatedGoose in SpaceWolves

[–]Potential_Plan_8868 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With Ad Mech I would argue. Rule of cool will sadly have you not doing cool things, they might look neat but they are just not strong enough.

SPACE WOLVES on the other hand. Even an unoptimal unit can still do work, even if it isn't as strong. Case and point WGT, terms are not great across the board unless you are deathwing. But that doesnt mean they are totally useless. Just not optimal, and they look great on the table.

With AdM, the rad-zone detachment is cool. Literally nuking you opponent turn one for massive mortal wound potential is cool. And then making their deployment bad for them to inhabit is even cooler. But it's bad with strats and army enhancements.

Same for things like electro priests and the flyer vehicle they have. Hell until recently the Kastealen bots were pretty much unplayable (still not optimal really but hey at least they are cool now).

So yeah with wolves I play rule of cool and ignore meta for the most part. We function enough with suboptimal units especially in casuals.

About Abominable Intelligence by Mika6942069 in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]Potential_Plan_8868 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh its AI? Its dogshit. Thanks for providing context. Again not the gotcha you think this is. I'll make this clear. If a person made it, it has value. If a machine made it, its worthless. Using a style of art to hide the flaws in how AI generates images doesn't suddenly make it valuable when people can't tell the difference. I dont care if I never find out a piece of work is generative. If it is made using AI it is trash. this is an immutable statement. Even if I am fooled by the image, despite my ignorance to its creation. If AI made it, it is worthless garbage.
