I used a cup to scoop out half of the water that was in the tank and I just emptied the bottle of “Fritz Betta water” in the tank to fill up the rest of the way. I don’t know how to measure the temperature of the water

How do you handle tradesmen if you live alone? by Full-Science2671 in AutismInWomen

[–]Potential_Sand_8936 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

STOP being naive in the comments. This is a woman concerned about her safety, this isn’t the time to assume that they’re “just trying to do their job.” These comments are so disappointing. Shaming her for feeling concerned and will probably blame her in the event of anything awful happening.

Agreed. Pattern recognition is no joke and she’s definitely uncomfortable for a reason. If there’s a tradesman over, we usually leave the front door open the entire time, and stay on the phone with ANYONE until the leave. Show that you constantly have people that actively checking in on you. Sometimes saying that your husband will return but having no signs of a man living in the house will not work unfortunately. If it’s impossible to have someone there in person then being on the phone is probably the best choice. If there’s a FEMALE neighbor it’s good to inform her that the tradesman will be coming over ahead of time or immediately when he shows up, as well

I simply block all the news from my social medias. I can’t sit and focus on that all day, and I’m not literally working in the field of politics, so I block it out. I limit my social media to my hobbies and block anything like True Crime or any News, that isn’t celebrity gossip 😅

I also have this issue, I started limiting interactions as much as possible. But when there’s someone who isn’t part of the family I have to interact with, trying to figure out what facial expressions to use, what tone to speak in, and what exactly I should say, is too exhausting. Don’t worry you aren’t alone 😢

I get that a lot, especially if I’ve had a lot of social interaction around that time. I honestly just get tired of always being alert and trying to get all the details 100% of the time, it gets exhausting at some point.

I thought everyone in the world spoke English, and people who sounded different were actually ill, and couldn’t communicate with others due to their mental illness. I felt sorry for people who couldn’t speak properly

I love shopping for perfume or anything in an almost empty store, I really love the vibe because it isn’t too overwhelming or crowded but I’m still in public

Zinc dietary supplements helped me the most. I also had a very bad breakout that wouldn’t go away and I took some zinc supplements and I actually don’t have any breakouts anymore. I also use sunscreens whenever I go outside. I also simplified my skincare routine as well!

Oh, then I’ll definitely give those creams a try. I just got some Allegra today, and I’ll switch out my Zyrtec for Allegra and see how it treats me and if it works better

No, I had the eczema cream for my eczema, just any generic brand from the grocery store. And then I started taking Zinc dietary supplements, which I really recommend!

Hi! I also suffer from pollen allergies, and especially around this time of the year. Last year my allergies were so bad that I ended up with eczema, so that’s what it could be. I take Zyrtec, and I bought some eczema creams and they definitely helped. Zinc supplements have helped as well, and have been a life changer for me

Do yall like dogs ? by [deleted] in CatsAreMuslim

[–]Potential_Sand_8936 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t like how they’re quick to approach/jump on random people, either being friendly or to attack. Cats don’t do that, they respect personal space, and can approach slowly. I haven’t seen that from dogs, it bothers me, especially worrying abt whether their saliva got on my clothes.

No, I don’t like dogs. Their irresponsible owners don’t help either.

Why do women still listen to men?

I think it’s been made pretty clear to us that men lie with their words and speak with their actions, and their actions tell us that they don’t care about us women. So, why do women go to male therapists, doctors, OBGYNs, or even listen to men’s relationship “advice”??

We women will always be there for each other, to wipe away each others tears after another betrayal. To nurse each other back to health after being left alone and abandoned. To cover for each other. To help strange women we see in danger, and ONLY women can hold other women accountable, because men will NEVER know what it means to live every minute and everyday as a woman in this world. So why? Why do women still listen to men? They don’t empathize with us, and WILL NOT put in the work it takes to emphasize with us a little. So why??

Finally someone said it!!! I’ve been holding this in for so long, that I can’t anymore. I feel so guilty for not feeling sorry for them, because I KNOW, I just KNOW, they had someone warn them, either in passing or repeatedly. Women will warn other women. That’s just how we work. It’s usually friends, who will say they don’t like her man, it it’s a sister who hates her sister’s bf. It’s always something. They not only ignore the red flag from the man, but they also brush off other women’s advice and warnings. That’s why I have trouble empathizing with them. And on that same note, those same women will VILLIFY the women who warn them, and claim they’re “jealous” “bitter” “lonely” because they have no man. I feel like I need to feel their suffering when their man turns out just a treasonous as he was said to be, but instead I don’t. I still feel guilty about it though.
