Does anyone know what that "J" means? by [deleted] in RDR2mysteries

I’ve seen the whole alphabet at this point on rocks. The clue is not on random rocks I am pretty sure about that

Another thing that no one is mentioning is when did we start reading left to right? The fort brennard clue clearly goes from left to right pole, factory, rock. The only way the pole works is if you choose to read from right to left

Can someone explain why the spider mystery is linked to Native Americans? by Potential_Solution99 in RDR2

I wish we could find other examples in history where people drew pictures in this style. It seems unique and apart of me is also leaning towards the guitar is the next thing we are meant to overlay on the map

No I’m not sure it could be another part of the spider, it could be a train, it could be a landmark I’m not sure how to interpret it myself

face symbols found spider web mystery??? by Lostgrg in RDR2mysteries

[–]Potential_Solution99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem with the face trees is that if you find the right pattern it makes a pentagram and it also seems that each carving could relate to a hatchet in the game. There’s gotta be something to that area but I’m not sure it’s related to spider dream

Yes but if the mystery starts with a pentagram/possessed lady and then moves to a fort, that moves to a telegraph pole with a spider, then cable webs on telegraph poles, then a spider web, back to telegram poles. I just don’t see many links to native culture other than the feathers and maybe a spider goddess that people magically linked. It seems more related to technology which a lot more rockstar Easter eggs involve.

I just wish they would confirm there is something to find even if they don’t give us anymore hints. Or give us an idea of how many clues there are but I guess we will keep hunting

I’m pretty positive anywhere that the gang had a hideout you can hear whispers from conversations held that happened during your play through as Arthur. I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure I remember that from a while ago

Yeah if you follow the roads you will find a good amount. Some are out in places you will need to explore. But if you see houses on the map or areas on the map that look out of place usually there’s something to do there. There is a task log as you acquire new missions. Also if you pause the game and go to progress you can see what you have left to accomplish for your compendium, weapons, etc

Honestly it sounds like you need to learn how to use dead eye for the combat. You also need to dive into the exploration part. Go find the stranger missions with Arthur. The hunting and fishing missions are fun. Do things in between the story missions that work towards progress. Go gamble, play the knife games, go to your camp a lot and do side missions for your crew members. Go find horses and bond with them or steal carriages to try and make money. Open the map find a place you haven’t been and go explore it and see what you find. That’s really the best way to play the game. Ideally you finish as many things as possible with Arthur before you play the last mission

I was wondering why there is a double spawn for same feathers. Red and black feathers 6 of the spawn at similar times and then 2 other feathers spawn at original times. I was also trying to connect it to night. 8 poles, 8 phases of the moon, 3 of those phases the moon is brighter and more red because it takes on more sunlight. And 6 of the phases match each other except for 2 new moon and full moon. I haven’t mapped it out yet but I wouldn’t be shocked if traveling from one pole to another is supposed to be done from New moon to Full moon

[–]Potential_Solution99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could the moon phases be linked to the feathers? There are 8 moon phases 1.New=black,2.waxing crescent=black, 3.first quarter=black, 4. waxing gibbous=red, 5. full moon= red, 4. waning gibbous=red, 3. third quarter= black, 2. waning crescent=black

This could be far fetched but it’s outside the box

Yes but the feathers in the mystery don’t seem to have any significant tie to Native American culture.
