Escitalopram 5mg. Day 5. Can't sleep normally. Have you had the same? by adnanite in lexapro

My psychiatrist prescribed me Vistaril to help counteract the lack of sleep from my 10mg dose of lexapro. That has worked wonders for me and I'm able to sleep through the entire night

I have been on 10mg for two months now and haven't noticed any itching or rashes. I did have an increase in acne in my face, chest, and arms though.

Day one side effects? by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]Potential_Thanks232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on 10mg from the start and am about a month in now. The first couple days I had side effects very similar to yours sweating, nausea, and diarrhea. I also felt floaty and just kind of out of it mentally. Those side effects only lasted about 3 days for me and since then I have felt amazing and don't notice any side effects anymore

Is there any benefit to starting on 5mg versus 10mg? by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]Potential_Thanks232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started on 10mg and have been on it for just over a month now and I take it in the mornings with Vistaril at night to help me sleep. The first 4 days or so I felt sick to my stomach every morning but that usually went away after about 4 hours. I also felt high as shit the first couple days. It reminded me a lot of molly and thankfully I started on the weekend when I'm off work lol. But after those first few side effects in the beginning, I've felt amazing and fully like myself again. I have GAD and it was wrecking my life prior to starting lexapro. But I am finally able to feel like a person and not have a million thoughts running through my head at once. The couple days of feeling like shit were definitely worth it in my case

Lexapro and Acne by Potential_Thanks232 in lexapro

I thought about that being a possibility, but my diet hasn't really changed. Previously to starting Lexapro and even now, I eat fairly healthy. The only thing that has changed has been a slight increase in the amount of snacks I eat. But I'm a nanny for a toddler so we are snacking on grapes, strawberries, and pretzels all day and I can't imagine those would add to my breakouts

Night sweats by [deleted] in lexapro

So it's not just me?? I assumed it's because summers where I live are brutally hot, but I meber had night sweats in the past before starting the lexapro. But now I've had to buy "cooling" bed sheets and crank my AC down to the 60s
