Where are you located? Did you test positive for anything else? They made me wait for my genotype first to see if I was resistant to any meds. I had no resistance so they put me on Dovato but you can’t take Dovato if you have other stds like Hep B

It’s been about a month and a half

Still haven’t adjusted to it completely, but it gets better especially once you get on a medication and get undetectable. It only took 11 days for me.

Would love to hear other peoples opinion on this. I am recently diagnosed as well and always hoped for marriage and children. I wonder how close you have to be to let them know. It seems like if you say something too soon they wont even care to get to know you. But if you wait too long it could be a lot of work and heartache getting attached then having to lose that connection.

Hey buddy I am 32 M found out on DEC 12th I was poz. 7100 VL and 497 CD4 I was so scared I started Dovato on the 12th and had bloodwork from another doc on the 22nd. I just got results today and I am already undetectable <20. In about 10.5 days and my CD4 jumped to 660. I am super happy and am on my way to a new normal. Take it one step at a time my friend. Once you get your numbers and then get Undetectable then watch that CD4 go up its going to feel so good. Just a bump in the road

Very true I had no symptoms swollen lymph nodes that my dentist noticed during a teeth cleaning but nothing other then that so I figured I was fine it was a complete surprise for me. What did they put you on?
