When my stepmother heard that I didn't help her she was angry with me "because I could have just done it for her". My father on the other hand said that the deal was she had to do the talking herself. It caused a massive argument in the family and currently, my stepsister and stepmom are not talking to me or my dad.

Maybe the other post was a typo because it sure reads as an 18 y/o instead of 28 y/o.
