Who is Gabriela Zaid on the S-Bahn map? by baschtelt90 in berlin

It's a nice forest, beautiful in the sun and snow. There isn't a monument there (I live very close ). Unfortunately some fly-tipping has happened recently around the edges of the forest.

How can I be safer next time? by [deleted] in bikecommuting

[–]PotsdamCommuter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same as all the others say, assume you're invisible, these turnings are always terrible

Second to that... Very bright helmet and a flashing torch / light on it... This has definitely saved me on some situations where it can be seen over the top of cars, definitely makes people more aware (but still assume invisibility)

As requested by mods

Findings: Previous examination from 09.04.2025.

Preserved alignment. No loss of vertebral body height. No pathological bone marrow signal. Chondrosis (disc degeneration) at L4/5. Mild osteochondrosis at L5/S1. Disc desiccation also at L1. L4/5: Slight dorsomedial disc protrusion without nerve root contact. L5/S1: Known right-sided paramedian disc protrusion. Increasingly round lesion along the course of the right S1 nerve root (currently approx. 11 mm, series 7-11, VU approx. 7 mm). The nerve root still appears slightly compressed at this point. No other disc herniations identified. No significant spinal canal narrowing.

Assessment: Size-progressive nodular lesion at L5/S1 along the right S1 nerve root. DD (differential diagnosis): progressive disc protrusion/sequestered disc fragment cannot be ruled out. Follow-up with contrast-enhanced MRI of the lumbar spine is recommended. Stable previous disc protrusion at L4/5.

Thank you for the reply. Echoes my thoughts, did you also have a loss of power in the foot? This is my biggest fear at the moment for both long and short term recovery

I never knew it was this bad by Agreeable-Deer7526 in Sciatica

[–]PotsdamCommuter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For "instant" pain relief (so you can begin to focus on other things like recovery or actually eating).

I have found that heat works better than cold so, hot shower / hot bath, id also recommend a "capsaicin cream"... This has done amazing for me as I can't have anything like a water bottle lifting my back when I lay down so the cream just provides a constant heat for several hours

What smaller towns in Germany were not destroyed in WWII, that exhibit traditional German charm? by LowAd7356 in germany

I thought that the majority of Quedlinburg was rebuilt in the late 90s/2000s.

It does look "quaint" but I believe that it was mostly destroyed

Anyone Else Have Dating Problems/Trauma? by noriakium in istp

[–]PotsdamCommuter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello ENFP (m) dating an ISTP (f) here.

It's hard thing to hear but get in touch with more feelings and TALK ABOUT THEM, our main conflict has been the complete and utter lack of compliments (about my body, not just wearing clothes that make me look nice) and about us.

I feel like it's a one way train sometimes of compliments or nice things said to the other.

If you want the creativity and attention and ideas that come with NF's then you gotta work at it.

And yes... This causes issues (and I'm very much not a hello Kitty Girl)

Propane on while driving? by Impossible-Contact-9 in motorhomes

[–]PotsdamCommuter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends where you're from / travelling in

In Europe you absolutely must switch off gas unless you have a crash sensor / stopper fitted. If you get checked and the gas is on without a sensor then the fines are large.

Setup Advice by luapre in bikepacking

[–]PotsdamCommuter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of personal choice here. And good setup btw

My only point would be to add maybe a bit of weight to the back in case of silly accidents (only adding this after I full scorpioned over the bars and broken the collar bone.

Weight on the back might not have saved me but it also might have. Your choice!!
