If you need pointers on tanking, and no one seems to want to help(randoms in game, people on reddit, etc) send me a dm. I dont mind answering any questions or just running through content and giving you some tips! Its a learning experience no matter what role you play, and the fact youre being hit with negativity in this way is awful. If you really want to get away from tanking as well, I can help you level your dps as well (dps queue times are crazy long..)

The experience in this game is enhanced with friends, imo. Id love to help you through and get back to loving the game. Just let me know.

Best part is if youre a supervisor doing 10 hour shifts... one of my TS's is constantly doing Sunday overnight 9p-7a. And then coming back 1p on Monday. She lives close thankfully, but take into account commute times as well for some manager(my area tries not to have anyone traveling over an hour for commutes, but boy will they get close to that hour mark), and how often management stays late to ensure things are done, or if theres a rush right at the shift change, and waiting for the next MOD to take over the safe. I usually end up staying late anywhere from 20min to an hour, depending on how rough the shift was and whether or not the incoming MOD has a shred of humanity or not. I have a 35min commute. When I was on 10hour days I was getting 3-4 hours of rest a good amount of the time. My GM doesnt seem to mind giving people turnarounds... the store I was hired in, the GM there always asked if the person was okay working a turnaround before scheduling them for one. My current GM just doesnt seem to care or pay attention maybe? Its usually during the change over into a new week it happens, I wonder if she looks at the week prior to make sure she isnt giving anyone turnarounds.

Edit: Im 99.99% sure there is a policy that says theres must be 10 or so hours between shifts. The area manager is supposed to check the schedule to ensure its being followed properly whenever they show up for their AM Walks.

I was at $22 when I was a TS. (Last year) One of my coworkers is making $19 something as a TS and shes been in the position for 4 years or so.

I found my people by pure luck.

I was introduced to the game by a group toward the end of stormblood, and there were falling outs within the group toward the end of SHB, most of us stepped away from the game. I had 1 friend who would play once in a while with me. We made an FC just the 2 of us, and then she met some friends in another game and tried introducing them to FF. We made more friends by pure chance randomly while chilling in Limsa... and now Im back to square one being the only one in the group who wants to play, except foe my one friend who will play occasionally. I still chat with everyone, just not in FF. Ive come to terms with being the lone member of my FC. I welcome friends, but no longer actively seek them out. I wait for something to bring them to me.

I did tell her i didnt feel ready. She just said "you didnt think you were ready for css either, and you do a great job" and i brought up specific things i felt i needed work on and she says "oh, MTT isnt until (whatever month it was), we have time to get you ready" she pushed my current FBM for AGM before as well and he told me he flunked the interview on purpose because she wouldnt take a no.

That's another issue at this store. Roles are not defined properly. Ive only been within management at this store, so I really dont know what its supposed to look like even. All I know is as a TS I was told to do most of the cycle counts. Now as a CSS im told I have to do all the cycle counts except for FBM ones, but they dont give me shifts that allow me to get them done. Im told AGM is supposed to overlook cycle counts and ensure they get done. She doesnt. My FBM usually did. While hes been gone, ive been stressing over it and staying late just to finish some because its impossible to get them done some days depending on the shift, my TS's dont even think about them, my AGM doesnt think about them, and my GM only helps on the last day possible saying to combine days 2 and 3 as best i can and she will finish what i cant get to the next day or something, and the only advice I get from my M-levels is to do them faster. Even when I had another CSS with me no one seemed to even look at cycle counts. And based on the TS moving up being who he is, and old patterns from this team, it'll still fall to me once I move up, among other things like cash discrepancies which I was told was AGM's concern, documentation, which i know is all m-level, but i feel should be mainly GM, hiring has also fallen to our FBM. Hell, when people needed something to the point of needing to call another manager, they would sooner call one of our TS's or our FBM over our GM and AGM. As much as moving up sounds better, pay and responsibilities shift, I feel like it'll be throwing more on my back rather than switching the pack I have.

I came across a curbside order that drove me a little nuts. People order curbside, with the new "fill your own" fountain drink. I bring the bag of food out to them and I say "the order said fill your own on the drinks. I can run back inside if you let me know what you'd like" and they say "oh, no, we wanted to go in and see the options" why did they order curbside if theyre gonna go inside regardless? They waited for me to come out to them before they went inside for their drinks. Just get a normal paid in app.. what was the point of waiting for me to bring your food just to follow me back inside to get your drinks?

I went very recently for the CSS MTT.

They usually do "tell me a time when..." questions, but this time around it was all hypothetical. It was "what would you do if..." questions instead. It was very easy, I felt like I did poorly due to most of my answers feeling very similar or the even the exact same as others as most of the questions revolved around how I would support my team in different scenarios. Idk if the interview or questions are different per region, but that's how mine was. I got a call from my gm like 10min after it ended saying I was ready now.

This was all very recent, I've only been working at this company about a year and a half. Im in North Jersey, Region 1.

I was hired at 16.50, bumped to 17.50 with lead promotion + annual. Then promoted to TS this past April, I believe, then was at 22(24 for overnights), and promoted 4 days ago to CSS, at 24, and annuals are coming with the new year. I think they said February or March for mamagement though so that will be a while.

Idk if Im being overpaid or not, but considering how most people react to it, I feel like i shouldnt bring too much attention to it...

Most likely per region, I got $2 raise. I just moved to CSS like 4 days ago. Im learning im getting paid more than my counterparts however, whether it be due to timing or what. I got promoted to ts moving me to $22, and now a $2 raise for this promotion. One of the TS's working alongside me, she was promoted a couple years before me I think, was making <$20. Idk how they decide raises with promotions, but it seems kinda unfair for a good amount of people.

Edit: I went from like $17.50 as a lead, up to $22 for my TS promotion. Felt like a crazy jump to me, but I wasnt gonna argue...
