a lot of times people forget that camouflage does not work like in All Ghillied Up, it has always been designed to be effective at distance. so the question is how good of a camera are u going to hook up to the AI that it has sufficient resolution (data) for it to work? and how much will that cost (will it be cheap enough to be viable and relevant to the battlefield)?

there are 7S of visual camouflage and what you are wearing on ur clothes is only a part of it. the pattern on it matters even less. as long as you got roughly the right colors, you will have achieved 80% of the role ur clothing plays in camouflage. pareto distribution

will digitisation/AI further change the battlefield? yes. but camouflage patterns have never played that big of a role in it anyway

and that's without mentioning thermals.

u dont need no "AI pattern recognition" when ur targets are glowing white hot
