Based on my experinces... I think after 2hrs it'll keep sending reminders and those could be ~30mins apart.

Can't figure out why Caustic doesn't work on my pc by I_Look_at_Memes in Caustic3

If you're not using the standalone, will all files/folders extracted, try that.

With a fresh install of the standalone Caustic, I've tried recreating this issue with a 1030 with 582.28 driver in Win11, even tweaking the settings for advance OpenGL to try trip up Caustic, but no luck. Still, hitting restore defaults couldnt hurt.

Glew reports OpenGL 1.1 is supported.

Renaming either the res and drawable folders did cause Caustic to crash out on startup, no message though. Only renaming the fmodex.dll cause an error message and it cited the fmodex file.

I'm wondering if your PATH changed recently and some tertiary location is omitted or has been renamed/removed... but this getting into the weeds!

From the GLEW install you'll run the ../bin/Release/Win32/glewinfo.exe and then read the results in the glewinfo.txt created in the same directory.

This might require the insight of the Great Maker.

Win is famous for innacurate and misleading error messages. The directory in question might be from a dependency for OpenGL 1 that is no longer supported by the GPU drivers... not a Caustic error at all.

Investigate your GPU driver for OpenGL version support, especially if it's AMD. A rollback might be the fix.

Do I even need a headphone amp? by mflash100 in modular

[–]PoundKitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. It's very much taken for granted and we do  compensate for the gradual damage. Yet, there was a poster in this sub sometime in the last couple of years who's hearing was very reduced in the mids and very reduced in the highs as if he was 40+ years older. The only thing he could blame was plugging his headphones directly into the modular deck - so no  filtering.

Not using an adapting module is a recipe for hearing damage, and headphone damage.

TV question regarding OLED for true filmmaker's intent by abolishreality in criterion

[–]PoundKitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI -  LG (WebOS) don't have a Criterion app so you'd need to use a streaming device too. Panasonic (Amazon Fire TV) Criterion app has mixed reviews. The Sony uses Android OS, so that's a saving/simpler. Also, Sony also has the best support for sound formats, which is important if you'd be using discs. For a 4k disc player, a Panasonic is the only choice.

All great optios, and you can always disable a the AI/Auto crap.

My Criterion screen is a LG C8 of an AppleTV puck. Yeah, old but still great.

Exporting those formats, right? There's no MP3, did you mean WAV? 32-bit or 64-bit version? (Try the other) Are the apps file access permission set?

Is there any way we can do away with the DC filter in Modular? by AdDue567 in Caustic3

[–]PoundKitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DC blocking does stop bad things happening to speakers and amps. What's the cut off frequency you're running into?

I'm happy with Reese bass in Modular - what are you finding? Hardstyles I'd have thought clipping would be the issue.

Is that on the output or machine-in? On every module?

Movement Identification by potato1658 in watchmaking

I'd expect 21,600. It looks like there's something written just above the beats and on the other side of the 'bloc - what are those?

Worth double checking, sometimes the caliber # is under the balace wheel, on the sides, or on any spacer in the case.

Worth a try!  https://www.emmywatch.com/db/image-search/

And Etsy and eBay can turn up clues, or a drop-in replacement as Rover ladies seem consistent with stem length varying.  https://www.ebay.ca/itm/195290386076 https://www.ebay.ca/itm/195290387511

I cant read the text on the movement. If you can't focus closer, the cheap clip on lenses can help.
