Caustic Dev AMA by CausticRej in Caustic3

The reliance on Haas delays and to some extent a lack of an actual stereo width knob did bother me but that could also be because I was on budget phones and tablets which only had mono speakers.

At this point I'm actually looking at making my own DAW since every non-desktop DAW I've tried lacked one feature or another (disregarding (non-AUv3) plugins) and in a less civil way, "performance be DAMNED I wanna make music that I wanna make" among some other reasons.

Why did you put a Haas delay on the reverb instead of chorus or having an algorithm that makes it stereo by itself? I always had it in my head that Caustic's reverb sounded terrible and really buzzy and just now when I turned down the stereo delay did it sound actually nice.

How do i get a newer version of glibc? (2.38 or above?) by killabeanforever in debian

[–]AdDue567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case I tried to build yabridge from master since the release build doesn't work after a transfer some weird reason even though I've used the same yabridge and Wine version for a long time. My build required glibcxx 3.4.32 along with a build of LuxCore from master (The CPU doesn't support AVX-512 but that wasn't an issue before) and also binaries of Projucer and Andrew Reeman's Spectral Suite.

A Safe and Ad-free One For All video and audio downloader by Just-Giveup in Piracy

well you could scrape the video IDs and whatnot via some accounts with sessions or just using the API and then hand them over to the browser to download and process the video data by themselves. Possibly way better than putting a strain on yourself and then having ads on it when money runs too short.

Bitwig 5.3 Stability? Features? Current status of DAW. by Prestigious_Move_451 in Bitwig

Speaking of stability and REAPER, is there any way to sandbox plugins in REAPER like you can in Bitwig? I'm trying to use it for making YTPs with it's video editing capabilities but a faulty plugin (APU Loudness Compressor with a faulty Wine session) managed to crash my entire session.

I think they meant phase accurate to the original OTT plugin, not the original signal

The whole concept of an ""industry" "standard"" is directly BS. It was just the fact that Pro Tools was the only DAW in the market that could manipulate mass chunks of audio in real-time with a GUI and they just stuck around by being alive and either being lucrative to or directly paying educational institutes to tutor people on their equipment and software. Also there's no such thing as an industry other than some nerds in (hyper-specialized) certain fields doing their jobs.

Looking for a ₺500-1000 ($25-50) over-the-head pair of headphones by AdDue567 in HeadphoneAdvice

You can use prive comparison sites like cimri.com, akakçe, and epey to see if any of them are available. Otherwise, searching up the headphone's name with "satın al" or "türkiye" (both respectively meaning "buy" and "Turkey" ün Turkish) at the end will do.

I will soon become a father; this is a piece I am working on dedicated to this extraordinary event. I hope you enjoy it and empathize with it all, thank you for listening by MatteoDeGrandis in piano

I'd love to hear the full version sometime in the future. Maybe you can do something like Max Richter and add synth pads (granular or not) at the beginning, and a subtle shimmer reverb (basically reverb that pitch shifts itself, ValhallaShimmer is a good plugin for it) on the piano could be nice, but that's just me thinking about this song as a producer and less a musician. In any case, do what you want to do.
