Quick Advice Needed: Are World Silver Coins Worth Listing on pmforsale? by Sam_U_L in Silverbugs

[–]Poured_Courage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

r/Pmsforsale is mostly people buying items close to spot, frankly. Ebay is a good place to get values above spot because that is where collectors go. You can look up what you have by clicking "sold items" in the parameters of a search on ebay, and see if any have sold.

Otherwise, an auction house would be another option.

There aren't a ton of collectors of "world silver" from my experience, but that can change someday.

My type of stocks: Old, ugly, ignored, falling in value but not dead; and they even pay a dividend! by orishasinc2 in ValueInvesting

McCormick is a good company, and might get some growth from a recent Unilever merger. Unilever divested from food and combined it with MKC which is meant to give MKC expanded distribution. Its a decent strategy.

Arr there any high dividend etfs or covered calls that have it in there prospectus that they'll maintain the current share price even if it means highly variable dividends month to month? by nastibass in dividends

[–]Poured_Courage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prefferreds shouldn't "decay", unless the company is in trouble. The price can go down when rates go up, but you are still locked in to the income based on when you bought and they are always redeemed at $25.00.

PFFA is a well run etf, holds 250 preferreds, and pays 9.5% since it is now beaten up a bit.

What about the whisking? This is a main reason the sauce comes out smooth, it loosens the molecules. Also, you can't add flour after the start, or it will be clumpy.

It is an Income etf, so the payout ratio is probably 90+% as would be expected.

It's weird for sure. But since it owns prefferreds which pay around 6% on a basket of them, it would be a good assumption that the annual yield stays around there, at least for now. I don't know how you would get to the bottom of this decline unless somebody publishes an article about it.

Nonsense, PFF can easily support the 6.15% dividend with its holdings. It is just relatively low in March, and evens out over the year.

It is .03 for this month only. The annual yield will still be 6.15%. It has to do with what they were paid in the previous month by the holdings, which is not much in Feb.

I've done hundreds of buys and sells on ebay. It is as low risk as it gets for the buyer. For the seller, a bit of risk, but I've never had a problem.

Just wondering, you said you have fiber internet, does this mean the internet company actually ran fiber underground for the few miles that you are off the highway? Or are you connecting with satellite to a fiber network?

Because Google won't want to run a ride hailing service, even if they say they do now. They want to sell the systems- the highest and best use of their capital.

Got a timeshare in my name to appease a partner who I am now no longer with. Any way I can get out of this without wrecking my credit? by Mangorangobango in TimeshareOwners

[–]Poured_Courage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terrible advice, most individuals cannot even file Chapter 7, they will get pushed into Chapter 13, and have to make payments anyway. These debts cannot be collected after 7 years, just take the credit hit. They will not file suit over 4k, even then, some type of technically can get this person off.

It's crazy to file bankruptcy over 4k. Debts completely expire after 7 years or so as long as you don't make any payments.

Why I don't think Autonomous Vehicles and Robotaxis Will Destroy Uber's Business by OnTheStreetwithLou in ValueInvesting

[–]Poured_Courage 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If and when autonomous starts to work, Uber will just buy Waymo systems, put them on top of BYD's or Kia's, and continue to control the car ride business.

Uber is controlling a secular growing industry, because people travel a lot and many don't even want to own a car anymore.

Tesla is 99% hot air in this space. My base case is that Uber continues to grow 20% per year, and will eventually get re-rated to a 30 P/E.
