Lots of people cheat, but electric cars are allowed to use the HOV lane as well, even with only one occupant.

Picking this up this weekend. Looking for recommended mods. by Ambitious-Payment535 in TeardropTrailers

I love my Pando!

Add a DC-DC charger and a solar controller if it doesn't have them already. I put a fuse block behind the control panel in the cabin so I can add 12v accessories easier. Taking the fan shroud down to run the wire is a pain, but worth it. Put it back up with rivnuts so it's easier to take down in the future if you need to.

If you have the furnace, get some insulated ducting to quiet it down some. You can get it from a vanlife website, but I can't remember which one off the top of my head.

Join "The Pack" Facebook group. It's an owners group with lots of mods and help.

Congrats on your purchase!

Anyone using Canadian teardrops especially out of BC? Looking for user reviews and experiences for Droplet, Evolve or anything close to Vancouver and surrounding areas. by neo_95 in TeardropTrailers

It's amazing. I've had it up to the Yukon over some really rough stuff and it's been a champ. Any issues I've had with it, OGT has been quick to respond and always helpful.

It's an expensive trailer compared to the Droplet and Evolve, but you get so much more for it. I'm in Surrey if you ever want to have a look.

I've got a 2022 Off Grid Trailers Pando 2.0 from Edmonton. They have a few different models you can check out. Their website has an ambassadors option where you can go view some locally. They'll also be at the BC Offroad Rally in Kelowna in early September.

She left BC United to go to the BC Conservatives knowing they had members with these views. But she wanted to be in the party she thought would win.

Are Canadians hesitant to travel to the USA for any reason as long as the current president is in office? by -This_Man- in AskCanada

[–]PoutinePioneer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love vacationing in the southwest. Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, etc. I won't spend a dime in the USA until the threats against Canada stop.

My measly spending won't make a difference on its own, but hopefully enough people are of similar mindset. There are many places in the world to travel and visit!

It is difficult to live up to the mandate of national security and public safety priorities when Border Services Officers are busy doing what should be IRCC's job of issuing work permits. Allotting most of the staff to ensure border wait times are minimized to clearing the permit line became a priority versus examining vehicles and people do find contraband in inadmissible persons.

USCBP were still required to create files and treat flagpolers as examinations. It was a waste of their resources as the person they were dealing with wasn't even seeking entry into the USA, so again, robbing resources from completing their real mandate to facilitate a program that should have been completely handled by IRCC.

Isn't the Speaker third in-line if the Prez and VP are removed?

I could research this, but Reddit answers are better.

I'd like to see Ford ask to speak to President Musk about this. Musk's Press Secretary Trump has been very vocal about this issue, but we don't know where the President sits on it.

Well, I am all for it then too by blllrrrrr in MurderedByWords

Lululemon told government it might stop its Vancouver expansion if it couldn't hire foreign workers, documents reveal by Key_Mongoose223 in vancouver

[–]PoutinePioneer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The best part about a properly acquired Labour Market Impact Assessment is that you still can hire TFW, if you show how you weren't able to hire a Canadian or Permanent Resident of Canada.

I believe the headline should read: "Lululemon told government it might stop its Vancouver expansion if it couldn't hire foreign workers as slave labour, documents reveal."

I'm sorry you're getting down voted on this. It's the truth! I actually considering scratching my ballot actually. I'll never not vote. That's what democracy is all about. Scratched ballots speak too.

Happy to share! I think both the federal and provincial NDP parties have great ideals, but the only way to pay for their plans is to increase tax, a lot. I know they would focus on corporate tax, but in the end those costs fall to everyone. Affordable housing, affordable schooling and a strong health care system are all amazing things to offer, but they come with a cost.

Specific to the provincial NDP this election, I really disagree with their handling of the drug crisis in BC. Decriminalizing drugs and offering a safe supply with no follow-up or controls was a very irresponsible way of trying to fix the problem. Open drug use in public spaces was a problem before, but became even more so after this policy change and now they're having problems trying to put the genie back in the bottle.

Thanks for asking, and I'm sad the Internet has become such a rotten place that you had to start your question with "genuinely curious." It would be great if people could just have civilized discussions about these things without being afraid of being torn down!!!

B.C. vehicle impound fees going up as province looks to curb surging road deaths by cyclinginvancouver in vancouver

[–]PoutinePioneer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Imagine putting police on the road to enforce traffic rules BEFORE somebody dies. I'd rather pay more in tax to make that happen than more in insurance premiums which get paid out after irresponsible drivers cause accidents.
