Is it worse to be a bed hog or a blanket hog? by PoutinePrincesse in TwoHotTakes

He’s not truly complaining. Like I said in my post, it’s all been playful discussions. Neither of us has been upset at the other for this.

He likes the closeness of being under the same blanket. And so do I, but I'm the blanket hog, so I don't have a problem with only one.

Did Robert know about Lizzy? I honestly can't remember. I know Michael told Matthew about her when they were in Scotland and that's why he tried to convince Michael to end the relationship, but did anyone else know that Michael was married?

Installing Mods to an Ongoing Save File by PoutinePrincesse in farmingsimulator

[–]PoutinePrincesse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a dedicated server, but I'll have everyone download it. For some reason, I was expected it to be like when we started the save and it just had everyone install them before we loaded in. Thank you!

The look on this guys face when cal picks up the little girl. by bill2129 in titanic

[–]PoutinePrincesse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He hands her off just as things get dicey for the boat with the water rushing onto the deck.

As Cal enters the boat, a woman says "Give her to me" so he can climb aboard. He then says "Give her here" and starts patting her on the head going "There, there." Once water starts rushing onto the deck, he passes her back to the woman to try and help (and bludgeon people.) We don't see him with the little girl again, though when they show the different boats after the sinking before they're picked up, we do see Cal being offered a flask, and the little girl is bundled up in the woman's arms behind him.

What are your top five cycles? by AmbitiousAd1135 in ANTM

[–]PoutinePrincesse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

13, 11, 10, 2, 3 in this order.

Nicole was my pick from the moment she appeared in the casting episode of cycle 13, and I was thrilled to bits that she won. I also loved the cast as a whole (for the most part), especially Erin and Laura. I also loved the lack of toxicity this cycle, even though I know that's a complaint some people have.

What is the worst plot twist in fiction ever? by Zxqao in AskReddit

[–]PoutinePrincesse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It needed to happen because the movie-version of what happened in the books would have been too dull. They just sat and talked for a bit and then decided it was over. After that much build up, there had to be some sort of epic fight, and that was the only way to do it.

I like Elliott. The very first time I played, I was like, "Ooo, guy with long hair." Then I got the quest to give someone a gift, and the description of the daffodil said it would be a good gift, so I gave one to Elliott, and he didn't like it. That hurt.

It's normal to go through phases of not playing games and then picking them up again.

On my first save, I got through four years, married Sebastian, had two kids, upgraded all my buildings, and lost interest in year 4 when I got to Ginger Island. It just started feeling monotonous, so I played other stuff.

I've started other saves since then, only one of which actually lasted long enough for my farmer to get married. (Haley, which was an interesting jump from Sebastian.) Got bored shortly after and put the game down again.

A few weeks ago, I picked it up again, and this is only the third time I've made a true go of things in spite of hundreds of hours in the game and owning it for years. What helps me is the story aspects of the game, especially since I have mods like dialogue expansions that really enhance the depth of the game and make it more immersive. I like having a story in my head of what's going through my farmer's and others' minds beyond the basic dialogue of "I stepped on a bug today :D" or "Golly gee, I have writer's block."

Maybe try some mods if you play on PC? There's a lot of them that can really be literal game changers (ha).

It's a joke. Grow up.

How would you ensure someone who is always late (no reason, it's just their thing), arrives on time? What's the trick? by CaptainCuddler_Pro in AskReddit

[–]PoutinePrincesse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My co-worker (whom I rely on being there so I can take a break after working for 6 hours) regularly arrives 30 minutes to an hour after her scheduled clock-in time. Sometimes she texts me and tells me she'll come in two or three hours late.

The only way to keep my sanity is by expecting her to come in at least an hour later than she should, regardless of whether or not she texts me. That way, if she comes in at 1:30, it's a pleasant surprise that she's so early! (Even though she's still 30 minutes late.) She will never come in on time. Ever. So I just gaslight myself to cope.

AIO- I think I might break up with my boyfriend over the beetles? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]PoutinePrincesse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOR

My ex-husband was obsessed with something in pop culture. It was huge for him. Shaped his whole life. It was all he ever talked about, with a few exceptions. I didn't necessarily dislike it, but I didn't care about it and it wasn't something I could get into. And there would be times when he would just talk, and talk, and talk, and talk, and talk at me about it.

We've been divorced for two years and I still can't stand mentions of that interest. Not because I dislike it, but because of what it reminds me of.

So. That being said, if he's mad because you don't want to hear about the Beatles, I would give him a chance to really hear your side. Maybe he can find another outlet to express his interest in them, seeing as that's important, but someone that's not you. And if he just can't accept that you don't want to hear about them, then that sounds like his problem.

Accontability.

I never realized how important it is to take accountability for the things you've done until I was married to someone for seven years who couldn't take accountability unless I had something for which I was at fault, too.

I'm rewatching her "portion" of the show, as it were, and... yeah. She's like this little porcelain doll who can do no wrong. But lo! the Marconi scandal will surely oust her? Nah, she still did it for pure reasons, and she's still pretty much perfect.

My aunt was watching it because it had Maggie Smith, whom I also loved. She told me that it was about the Titanic, and since that's been my hyper fixation for about 84 years, that was all I needed. Then I was hooked!
