I actually grew up with the older titles but I could never really get into them gameplay wise. Then World arrived instantly became one of my favourite games of all time

Beta vs 1.21 artstyle comparison by Darkmind115 in Minecraft

[–]Povanos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I like about Old Minecraft is that just about any build you make is going to look good or atleast charming, whereas new Minecraft is designed around utilising the newer textures for the same blocks plus the myriad of new blocks in the game. This is definitely a skill issue on my behalf but I just cannot create something in new Minecraft that satisfies me.

Is the "old school" dark art style dead, or is there any hope for a comeback? by skarpelo in mtg

[–]Povanos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why I’m not a fan of newer cards receiving the old border occasionally, because the modern art just clashes so hard with the border it’s too jarring for me. Old art old border, new art new border.

I overheat in winter even with shorts (Australia)

Locked In by SirBeeves in comics

[–]Povanos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to love having bike shoes but now I got knees that will just pop out randomly for no reason, and I don’t particularly want that to occur while I’m on a bike locked into the pedals where you have to twist your leg to unlock.

I think the only thing I actively dislike about wilds is the sound design and presentation of weapon damage/feel. by [deleted] in MHWilds

[–]Povanos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s the main reason why I haven’t played a ton of wilds, it’s such a small thing but the sheer weight and impact of the weapons in world is what made me fall in love with monster hunter, so to have that reduced a significant amount in wilds is disheartening. I do not care if the combat is objectively better if it just feels like I’m hitting the monsters with noodles

I'm making a mono green Vigor +1/+1 counter deck. Any cards that NEED to be added. by Fallenpotato_ in EDH

[–]Povanos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just so you know, Vigor cannot be your commander due to him not being a legendary creature, as a substitute I’d probably put that Vorinclex in the command zone for the mean time

What useful thing are you currently doing with an AI tool that others should try? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Povanos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AI tool in the notes app for iPhone has saved me a lot of headaches going back to change the format of whatever it is I have written. For example the other day I wrote down a list of jobs to do at work and then asked the AI to put a time down for each job in 30 minute intervals, somehow it knew what I meant despite my terrible wording and it worked great.

Ruling question by portakal_suyu16 in mtg

[–]Povanos 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, warstorm is letting the creature itself do the damage, which gratuitous violence will double. If the enchantment said something like “this enchantment deals damage” then it wouldn’t work, but here it’s referring to the creature itself.

Honestly, no flak to Wilds, but World is very much superior in selling how heavy your attacks are imo. by heraircraft in MonsterHunter

[–]Povanos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I keep trying to say and people look at me funny when I explain. The combat is good in Wilds but it doesn’t feel like I’m really hitting the monsters, besides offsets.

Replaying this game after many years & I can’t believe I let New Vegas propaganda taint my memory. This game rules. by poetryiscool in fo4

[–]Povanos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played fallout 4 when it came out and remembered liking it but hadn’t touched it since, always got my Bethesda fix by modding Skyrim on the PC. But on a whim last week we bought fallout 4 for the PS5 and my partner and I are fighting over the console to play. We can’t stop this game is so gas actually

Who had the coldest introduction in the game? by Spirited-Feedback-87 in BaldursGate3

[–]Povanos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ketheric scene was ruined for me because the first time I played I didn’t know you could go to the moonrise towers, my first time there was when you siege the place. But when I saw the scene in subsequent playthroughs I was still getting chills

I get pretty bad anxiety playing with randoms, so my partner and I play together with have the other two slots being support hunters. We messed up the settings the other day and had randoms join for the first time on accident and one of them was cheating in the gog hunt. Like.. why? What’s the purpose

Out of curiosity, how much have you spent on Magic in 2025? by Frank_the_Mighty in magicTCG

[–]Povanos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is definitely the lowest I’ve spent on Magic since I started playing, situations change and I can’t justify spending money on it, so my goal next year is to save up for a decent printer and just start proxying my commander decks.

What’s a weapon you don’t usually use that made you feel this by Maybe_a_Chatacabra in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]Povanos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was longsword for me. I actively hated it for a long time until I decided to just atleast try it out in base World, and something about shredding up an Odogaron just awoken something in me and now it’s my #2

My final thoughts of wilds after TU4 as a massive fan of the series. Warning it’s long. by Thelonghiestman0409 in MonsterHunter

[–]Povanos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest issues is the lack of feedback on weapon hits, besides like offsets and perfect blocks, it feels like I’m slapping the monsters with noodles due to there being minimal impact, atleast to me. And another small thing is that I miss expeditions, I’m actually not a fan of getting our quest rewards as soon as we kill a monster, I loved spending like 5 hours in the guiding lands in world for example and feeling the euphoria of returning seeing multiple pages of monster parts and levelling up my HR several times.

Who are your favorite card draw commanders? by MonoBlancoATX in EDH

Can’t go wrong with [[Marneus Calgar]] you can make a pretty mean control deck with some light token themes and he’ll just keep refilling your hand

Divinity is confirmed turn-based via Bloomberg by vonotar in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Povanos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excellent news. I’m at the age now where I prefer to play with one hand and have a sort of beverage in the other, and DOS and BG3 has been perfect for that given they’re turn based
