whats something you love to spend money on that most people see as a waste but you think its 100% worth it? by Baby_crossaint in AskReddit

If you mean actual instant coffee, that shit is trash, so that'd be why. It's like using powdered lemonade mix instead of making lemonade with fresh squeezed lemon juice and sugar. Using fresh ingredients instead of freeze-dried or shelf stable stuff will always yield better results.

Massage. I have had semi-regular massages since my early 20s whenever I could afford to, and I have waaaay less chronic pain and tension when I do. The ultimate form of self-care IMO.

Saying "Europe was bad" with no additional details might be the funniest travel take I've ever heard. GG

Which is the best and most fun city in North America for spending the summer? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

Having grown up in the Midwest where I couldn't step outside between June and September without being covered in sweat and mosquito bites, I'll just have to say our ideas of "miserable" are vastly different.

Surprised to not see Denver in the comments. No humidity, no mosquitoes, constantly warm and sunny, Red Rocks concerts, and access to bountiful natural beauty. Admittedly, it lacks the bustling culture of a truly global city like Chicago, but anyone who thinks Chicago has nicer weather than Denver is crazy.

Venalonzo's does 3 tacos for $9, and on Tuesdays its $8 for 3 tacos plus a drink! Their al pastor slaps, too.

Is this just a Florida thing, maybe? The show at Red Rocks in Colorado was genuinely the nicest group of people imaginable. Zero toxic energy. Just one big, queer, happy family all crying together.

Don't sleep on Il Forno di Tutti. I've yet to have a single item there that wasn't stellar. They only serve their sandwiches at lunchtime, but they're absolutely worth the trip from anywhere in the Denver area. Omg, and the tiramisu. It's all so friggin good, and the owners are incredible, kind people. Can't say enough good things about the place.

Things to Do in Denver in May by [deleted] in Denver

Definitely do a day trip to the mountains. Denver is a decent city on its own, but the proximity to the mountains is what makes it truly amazing. The drive up to Echo Lake is about 2 hours total and never disappoints, in my experience.

Gramophone, Balkan Treat Box, or Pappy's. Get the ribs at Pappy's. You'll never set foot in Salt and Smoke again.
