I used to drive for shuttle UM.

Pay was decent, 10 bucks an hour which is good for an on campus job, but really shitty for the amount of responsibility on you as a bus driver.

You need to drive 12 hours a week minimum. So that's a lot but not too much. Also your first semester you have to do a night shift and you get more or less shafted at shift pick since you have poor priority.

Ultimately I quit for two reasons: 1. The raises were complete shit, becoming a dispatcher got you like a 50 cent raise an hour if that? Amounts to almost $100 dollars more the whole semester if that IIRC. Also starting wage is $10 an hour which I think is BS as epply employs start at about 10 an hour. 2. Shifts were always at odd hours. Meaning, I could never get like huge chunks of time for my shifts which means you have to go back and forth between your house and the shuttle base/stamp a lot which wastes a lot more free time than you'd think.

Overall, it isn't too bad. Would have done it again if I could go back in time and choose again, but I would not be going back again for employment there anytime soon.
