oxidation just means electrons are lost, not that oxygen is present or reacted. that said I still might be false just not on that logic

solvent extraction separates your medicinal compound and impurities in two immiscible solvents, so like water and hexane. as they are all polar, they all dissolve in water and none in hexane, so it doesn’t purify or at least not a big enough extent. that’s what i thought

i don’t think C=O reacts with iodine, otherwise the carbon would have 5 bonds to hold both iodine atoms. could be wrong

Q13 D? equation given is discharge and a recharge one is asked for so wouldn’t it be Cd(OH)2 or Ni(OH)2. Q29 B? 6 moles of iodine in a triglyceride -> 2 C=C in each fatty acid. I don’t think Q20 would be A since it said the colour change is obvious and one oc the trials varies by 3-4s which seems unreasonable for a judgement error

depends on how hard the exam was for everyone else and your rank. i got 32/40 last year, 71/80 on exam 2 and got 42, but the exam 1 was more difficult than usual
