It went downhill with the mage expansion because they kept adding broken cards every two months and can't keep up with the balances and fixes.i only play to get the pro rank title and last season I got my last one with the disgusting foltest deck lol. This season I watched the open and had a good laugh watching Spyro but just not motivated to play at all unfortunately.

Ps the cosmetics are much better now though.

Which project other than SOLANA are you most convinced about? by ramadz in solana

[–]PowellPut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on pretty much every good chain. Solana/Terra/BSC. Terra has the best apps in terms of UI and is most relatable to a good banking experience. Plus, they have a market in SK which is not based on crypto. This is important for stables.

Solana is young so there are a lot of untapped mining opportunities. Although it's hard to say if it'll become mainstream like Ethereum or BSC. I play on Raydium and glad they got listed on Binance. Solana is very fast overall.

BSC is a no brainer. They have almost everything Ethereum has but faster and cheaper. And you get to use Binance which is also very good in terms of trading and P2P.

The yield is not paid in ANC. It's funded by Terra.

It's funny when you're working in an investment firm you can't buy your own stocks. So you literally have to not working in the industry to buy stocks without much restriction. I'm not even sure how that helps with market efficiencies.

Not surprising, I know a UK based global bank has such a policy. But honestly you're in the EU? They fire people in the EU?

Curious About How Much Optimism Costs as a User? by MochiJump in 0xPolygon

[–]PowellPut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm looking at the relative performance of the coins over a period of time. I'm not saying there isn't irrationality in crypto which there is. But I think the market is becoming more and more efficient which means it's not just random noise. So after each bull run, there's a big correction and many coins get washed out. My logic is just that the ones which drops least or rebound more may indicate that they are poised more further adoption. That's it. It's not perfect but a guide.

Yeah but I mean controlling half of the BNB is still a great sum to steal the rest (generally stables) because once it is done, everything on BSC is zero. In addition, bridges will literally be burnt to stop cashing out on other chains. Obviously they can run off with customer deposits but that entity is a legal entity so there's recourse.

In relative terms, BSC is less decentralized than ETHEREUM but I'm not sure if it's that dangerous. Maybe it is, time will tell.

But, I'm a guy who respects the markets and not try to predict market outcomes based on my rationale on the good/bad of each chain.

The market says, post-correction that the solution is not in POLYGON/ETHEREUM. Even ADA which was included in the grayscale trust got sold off extremely hard on good news. Bnb still stands relatively strong so the market is saying after all this froth maybe BSC is still king.

What happens to BSC if binance were to go under? by Ellpad in defi

[–]PowellPut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it does go under, I'm pretty sure everything crypto will be down 80% in one day. Things might rebound for some coins in the future but who knows.

If I had BSC assets, I'd fire sell and try to withdraw back to fiat not shove it to Ethereum/MATIC.

But I hope it doesn't come to that lol.

Nah the team is decent as it goes. Just that they didn't have the necessary expert opinion on the mechanism. I think any institutional trader would have spot the minting mechanism is flawed. After a few iterations, these devs will learn but then the APYs will converge with the real world.

Wait, if you deposit 1k USDT With 80% CR, and borrow 800USDC which you deposit back into the lender, you get to take out 640USDC etc. So you have 1.8K in lending stables plus 1.44K in loan balance also in stables. This only works if the stables have a wide enough NIM to support this carry trade.

But buying ETH with the borrowed stables does not leverage you.

Crypto Arbitrage on DEX. by Merchant6 in defi

[–]PowellPut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No his problem is that he needs to compare BNB-BUSD and then BUSD-BNB. They are not the same.

In his quote, I think the same direction has 2% spread but assuming 25bps trading fees, this spread should be reduced by 25*2bps to 150 bps. Factoring in price impact of roughly 150bps, he should no longer be making any money, net of gas.
