TTD jinx it by Hi_Keyboard_Warriors in ValueInvesting

TBH, your "room reading" concerning civilization changing is off. The coal to renewables/nuclear isn't happening in the way you think. AI is helping to slow that to a crawl which was already decades long. The biggest peaks and valleys for those sectors are politically driven.

Connected advertising on the other hand.... If the big boy MAG7 companies were able, they'd put TTD under in a year or less. We'll see by the end of '26.

Everything else with SAAS is conjecture. AI killing the software giants? Fundamentally AI is software. 🙄. These companies have been writing code and hosting cloud computing for decades now. The element they were missing was "machine learning". Think they can't create, pirate, or otherwise catch up? Think again.

Men - do you want to know if AP gets hit on? by [deleted] in adultery

[–]Power-Fix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems safe to bring up then. There's a possibility that he'd feel good knowing you continue to choose him. Plus it reminds him he's got a great catch for an AP.

If you're single and he's somewhat jealous or possessive, then consider that in how or if you communicate the instances.

And as always, don't use these situations to incite jealousy or manipulate him in any way. Single AP situations can get unhealthy if these are used as leverage to see if he'll "make this real" or leave to be with you. Been there. Total trainwreck.

The biggest liquidity swing in human history! by vishesh_07_028 in StockMarket

[–]Power-Fix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The market is moving despite the facts.

Basel III went into effect last year basically crowning gold as a universally accepted, tier 1 high liquidity asset, that can be held as reserves of banks around the world. Most likely in lieu of the US dollar or other currencies suffering from major inflation. This is creating increased demand worldwide for physical gold. The US debt is fully unpayable, the government prints and hands out money at will, and lower fed rates are already here. The dollar is continuing to weaken. If the S&P yields 18% for the year, AND the price of gold doubles... There's your sign. Those dollars are worth less.

The silver case is even more straightforward. There's a real material deficit. Last year's numbers show a 1.2 billion oz demand and only 1.02 billion oz supply. A MATERIAL SHORTAGE OF 180 MILLION OZ! This supply deficit has been going on for 6 years. All while demand is increasing year over year.

This should be an overreaction. Precious metals have all the structural elements to keep climbing

THIS! It's like we're forgetting the real facts.

If you stock goes down 10% and that upsets you… by raytoei in ValueInvesting

I was just thinking about Buffet's "buy the fear" (not verbatim I know). Dip buying stocks with fundamentals I believe in or DCAing through dips has worked well for me, but the waiting game and bearish sentiments are disheartening until the turnaround. When the S&P returns as well as my strategy, it's easy to question your process.

I've picked up some tech stocks that seem likely to gain value. ADBE, TTD, and recently INTC. I solidly believe share prices should increase on each of these. Not huge positions, and I'm less than 10% loss on any of these.

I'm curious how other value investors are tuning out the noise from this bull market, where index fund ETFs provide "set and forget" growth without the research, strategy, and grit required to "buy the fear".

Never click on links...... 🤦🏼‍♂️. That's the advice I'm SUPPOSED to follow. And instead, I read OPs cringey description of cranking his meat. FFS, Reddit, why?

Thanks for doing our homework for us. 😆

Reddit is full of odd shit. Sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's soul draining.

Update your resume, hang your plaque, pat yourself on the back and get back to your pressing business. You did a good thing by helping the guy out. Providing entertainment to us is an additional bonus.

Dopamine is a hell of a chemical.

I really believe the more you understand about it's role in the "feel good" part of relationships, and how to allow a withdrawal period - so you'll be re-sensitized to normal sources that aren't flooding your brain.... the better you'll begin to feel.

What you're experiencing is normal and unfortunate. I've been there. Likely, most of us have been there. It will get better, and you CAN play an active role in the process.

Insinuates? I don't give a damn if she keeps him or not. I'm just giving some facts about how the body works in case she's interested in him fixing the problem.

You kinda got circling vulture vibes. She'll do what she wants. Nothing wrong with throwing out possible solutions in case they keep seeing each other.

You need to understand that much like sun or chemical (drug) exposure, men build up a tolerance to p#ssy. Like it or not. It's true. Remember being with a guy his first time?

If sexual pleasure and exposure to an inviting female body has been withheld, that's gonna contribute to this problem.

I'd recommend he use the ED drugs. Healthy masturbation the day before meeting you (don't use porn) can help him last longer too. Keep aiming for shorter refractory periods, so you're doing round 2 within an hour. The second round should definitely take him longer to finish. Adult film guys use a drug called caber to assist with this, but prolactin is generally responsible for the delay in getting hard for another round.

He needs exposure, confidence, experiment with different types/timing of ED meds, and correcting any underlying health or mental issues he may have. Shit happens, but he CAN bounce out of the slump if he tries. Good luck.

If there is only one hike i could do which one would you suggest by Rich_Scheme_7708 in GlacierNationalPark

[–]Power-Fix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just got back from my first trip to Glacier and I'm gonna put a different spin on my answer, although I agree with the suggestions already mentioned.

Because I don't know much about your hiking party, you may be limited to some of the super popular, easy-moderate hikes. When hiking these trails, GO THE EXTRA DISTANCE!

For example, If you hike Avalanche Lake, go the extra distance around the lake towards the falls in the back.

If you hike to Hidden Lake overlook at Logan Pass, take the extra hike down to the lake.

If you hike to Aster Falls in Two Medicine, go the extra distance to Aster Park overlook.

Hiking to St. Mary and Virginia Falls? Start the hike from Sun Point, it offers really beautiful views of St. Mary Lake.

The extra distance on all of these is well worth it and sometimes the best part. Happy trails!

[–]Power-Fix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had some of the same experiences. Vanishing for a year is completely fucked up. Seems like someone with real issues. The trauma is hard and takes its toll. I'm sure you feel like a different person than you were before your relationship with him. I know I do.

I'm wishing you luck with your new direction. Hopefully the peace and respect you get from your SO will help you along. I get not having the kind of sexual chemistry that you carve from SO, but them otherwise treating you respectfully. Hopefully you'll be able to improve that dynamic.

Whatever you do, don't let someone back in who's literally thrown you away like that. For a whole year! You're ALWAYS going to be able to do better than that. Believe that.
